Not smart for Sunday's start time on the athletic department's part as the AZTECS men's basketball game should be in the second half. Most AZTECS fans not working will be watching the basketball game as they attempt to go to the Final Four.

Hey ted, before the Alabama game, he said the AZTECS have a 5-game winning streak as stated on the radio broadcast. The winning streak was 6 games as Ted did not include winning the Wyoming regular season game in his broadcast. Going into Sunday, the win streak after beating Alabama is now 7 games.

The phone for SDSU should be busy with top recruits wanting to play for SDSU. Winning conference championships and a deep NCAA tournament run has that effect. With that comes, SDSU competing for a Pac-12 men's basketball championship in their first season in the new conference.

Imagine winning a football national championship as Ferris State did in 2022 and during a post game celebration, two players lit up championship cigars in the locker room. That was enough for the ncaa to suspend the Ferris State coach for the first playoff game in fall 2023.

Former Aztec Chad Baker Mazara and his Northwest Florida State University teammates will play John A. Logan in the National championship game of the NJCAA division I playoffs. This game will be on ESPNU channel at 11 a.m. today.

Congrats to the AZTECS men's basketball team for about to play the last game(s) for any MWC team (men or women) this season. That should be one of the team's goal each season. This means the AZTECS are the last one still playing game(s). GO AZTECS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday, the San Jose State men and the Wyoming women each lost their post season game.

That 1988 sold out game at the Sports Arena against Dean Smith coached North Carolina drew 13,106 an all-time SDSU home attendance record. I was at that game and remembered that the fire marshall closed the entrance gates without all fans with tickets being let in. I was a SDSU student from 1986-1990.

Good news is the temps for Louisville will be in the 50s for Friday. The early forecast looks like all day rain for Friday in Louisville. The Arena policy is small umbrellas are allowed if they fit in a purse. Large umbrellas are not allowed and while the arena has a holding area, they are not responsible for lost or stolen umbrellas. The other issue is the Yum Center is a cashless venue. So bring a major credit card for food, drink or souvenirs.

Together means Family which applies to SDSU. The SDSU players have played and stayed together to the last game of each season. I do not include players that got injured or had medical issues. That was not the case for the Duff sisters on the New Mexico women's basketball team who both opted to skip the WNIT. Tonight, University of Washington beat New Mexico in the WNIT to end their season. Last, the Duff sisters did play in the SDSU women's win over New Mexico.

ahead or the Uconn vs Kawhi team? I think not. Why? Because I could see that team winning the NC. in fact, I think we win the Uconn game we had as good a chance as any team to win the NC seeing Uconn won the NC. We appeared to be the better on court team, they appeared to be the smarter team. Getting Kawhi to open his mounth already in some foul trouble (unchracteristic for Kawhi, he virtually never had foul issues). The Franklin bump and associated academy award flop. They got us into foul trouble and changed the momentum. I believe this team has a much better chance against Alabama than the spread would dictate (I think we have a decent chance to beat Alabama - I do not like Alabama), but I do not see the Aztecs being NC. I hope I am wrong and certainly they are playing outstanding right now. That Kawhi team was outstanding all season. You gotta look at how the bracket shakes out though. Beat Alabama and we face Creighton or Baylor to make the final 4. The game would be a pickem against either. The best team we would face in the final 4 would be Marquette who we would only be a slight underdog to. If we beat Alabama (a big if), we have a reasonable shot to make the championship game. Not so fast as Michigan State just beat Marquette. |

It is entertaining to read the What can you tell me about San Diego St? thread on an Alabama board. One poster wants to make a big deal about what happened in Maui after the Arkansas game with two photos. Keshad Johnson's facial expresssion was priceless in the handshake line meaning SDSU doesn't back down. Another one calling SDSU classless fanbase and coach/ dirty team. What was classless was the arkansas coach signaling a L hand gesture to Aztecs fans at that game and telling them to GFY. SDSU fans had an obligation to respond verbally.

Purdue was a bigger favorite against Fairleigh Dickinson and still lost. So Why not SDSU beating Alabama. The 4 or 5 seed has been known to beat the no. 1 seed. It happened twice in the 2022 tournament with 4 seed Arkansas beating No. 1 Gonzaga and No. 5 Houston beating No. 1 Arizona.

My educated guess is CBS will want to televise the SDSU-Alabama game Friday that means a tip-off at 4 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. San Diego time. The other option is TBS at either 3:15 or 5:45 p.m. Sporting News via Microsoft Sports showed the game times for both Thursday and Friday.

SDSU lost to Alabama in 4 sets 3-1 in women's volleyball in 2014. No meetings in baseball and softball. From the 1994-95 season in the Aztecs women's basketball media guide, the Aztecs women's basketball team did beat Alabama 79-76 in the St. John's Tournament in the only matchup between SDSU and Alabama.
