I do wonder if more news will come out before Friday to put the Bama program more directly in the bulls eye... Seems likely. But the big question is going to be what will anyone do about it? My answer is short and simple: nothing. I'm guessing that the University of Alabama will work in concert with players' attorneys/agents/sponsors, etc., to defer and deflect as long as possible. When the facts do eventually come to light, it'll likely be three or four years from now. By that time, a couple of the players will be in the NBA, making gazillions and able to hire the best attorneys and image makers available. The toothless NCAA will look the other way. They'll nail a guy like Tarkanian to a cross for a photo of players sitting in a hot tub with a known gambler, but tangential involvement in a murder? Meh. People will eventually forget. And everything will be swept under the rug. That's how we roll in America. The notion that an Alabama D.A. is going to go after athletes affiliated with the state's Second Religion is a stretch. |

Of course, you’d be bum rushed out of the arena and CBS would never show it or speak of it, but still. If the Show were on their game, they’d hire a pilot with that banner to circle around the arena In Louisville. |
