FWIW: At the end of the 1st half: As one would expect in a JUCO game, not a lot of defense, more running and gunning. NW Florida State leading 43-39
CBM can still shoot: 12 pts including 2-3 from 3 and 2-2 FTs. For the year he shot 44.2% from 3 and 86.5% FT. But his "defense" hasn't changed much either. He did a 100% matador defend on a fast break. He also tried to draw a charge but had both feet inside the circle. And he lost his man on screen switches a lot.
To be fair he does have 3 blocks too.
But I loved having him on our team. I think he would have had to get a bit better on D had he stayed.

He may not be the great defender but he can shoot. Considering he averages 32 mpg and this was their 4th game in 5 days, he came up big: 21 pts on 4-7 from 3. He looks taller and even skinnier though than last year.
His #7th seeded team lost to the #1 seed 73-70.

If you watch the Creighton game in last years MM, Baker was somewhat of a liability on defense, despite his scoring ability.
Got beat on a lot of back door plays, and often looked lost on D.
Could have been a good to great Aztec if he had more maturity.
Still, wish him well.
