What an atmosphere tonight!!!!! It started with the long lines prior to the gates opening (1 and a half before tipoff) and continued through the final buzzer. I give THE SHOW an A tonight for both numbers and loudness. About 50 minutes prior to tip-off the student section was filled. This win will cause other players to want to play for our AZTECS in upcoming seasons. Also, the AZTECS lowered their number for AZTECS wins and other team losses to 3 for winning the outright regular season title and number one seed in the conference tournament. This is the year for AZTEC FANS to take over Viejas East at the conference tournament.

With title IX, I propose adding a men's volleyball team and a women's gymnastics team. Neutral would be a men's and women's bowling teams. Get this done, athletic department.

Csu beats Unlv 95-77 giving the AZTECS a 4 game lead over everyone else in the loss column. Also, Gonzaga up 75-72 with 3 minutes left.

also, the game between Unlv and Colorado State. Should Colorado State win, it will give the AZTECS a 4 game lead in the loss column over every other MWC teams. Csu's Stevens hits a dagger 3 to end the first half. this game is on espn3. Csu up 41-36 at halftime.

Viejas West does it correctly by allowing the opposing team to broadcast from courtside and not put in the rafters where Ted Leitner did the radio broadcast today. The MWC MUST step in and force this change. Also, to those criticizing the sideline tv cameras at Viejas East, they are placed in front of the upper level stands on 4 platforms.

fly. good road win. Two things to work on eliminating fouls and make layups. It was at least 8 points on missed layups. Some of today's fouls were so called breathing on opposite players. The attendance at Viejas East was 12,287 which may have been a Unlv season high. This win gives SDSU a three and one half lead in the conference standings with 8 games to go. Now the focus is on beating new mexico.

That was a toss-up game between San Francisco (9-3 at home) and bywho (2 point road favorite and 2-4 road record). San Francisco was 14-7 and bywho was 15-6 going into that game meaning either team could have won. The WCC has 6 teams with overall winning records and 1 team at .500. In contrast, the MWC has 7 teams with overall winning records.

And I remember when the SDSU-Unlv at Viejas East would sell out at 18,000+. This game should draw 10,000+ with a lot of AZTECS FANS.

An AZTECS win officially eliminates Wyoming from the top seed in the mwc tournament. The AZTECS would have 9 wins and Wyoming 9 losses.

the weather looks to be good in Vegas (70-43) Sunday Jan. 26 for those AZTECS FANS driving to Vegas. All aboard the AZTECS EXPRESS. Also, the PBA bowling will be at the South Point from March 5 to 15. SDSU should have men's volleyball, women's gymnastics and men's and women's bowling teams.

Since I consider SDSU and Gonzaga to be two of the top teams in the country this year, I would want that potential meeting to be in the Final Four in Atlanta. It would be great for SDSU and Gonzaga to be no. 1 seeds. Who should ESPN send to cover the SDSU-Nevada game feb. 29?

one of the AZTECS best defensive switches happened around the 8 minute mark of the second half. It is time for all basketball fans to get on board and support this team as they attempt to do something, go undefeated for full season and post season, that only the 1976 Indiana team achieved at only 32-0. The 2014-15 Kentucky team was undefeated for 38 games before losing to Wisconsin in the title game. It is a plus that only second place Unlv has one conference loss making each SDSU game that more important. The AZTECS players need to focus on beat Wyoming next game. The third place to 11th place teams have at least 3 losses and will get more as they play each other in addition to their game(s) against SDSU.

14 to go, csu up 69-44, maybe New Mexico looked ahead to unlv Saturday, stunner to be see csu a 3 1/2 point favorite and blowing them out.

Times sure have changed for AZTECS Basketball. I remember when AZTECS hoped to win a game over top competition as Clemson did over Duke. now it is expected. as for fans, the only time we storm the court is after winning over a top 10 opponent (NO. 6 Nevada in 2019), a regular season title and/or tournament title or post season home games like St. Mary's. On one hand I would love to see the AZTECS run away with the regular season title but as long as the race is close, it narrows the focus to that day's game. Either new mexico or unlv will take their second conference loss Saturday providing they win Wednesday.
