Thank you so much Trey Pulliam for your great play today and helping save our Azzzztecs! He was just sensational, and couldn't have come at a better time to help pull the Aztecs out of trouble! We have so many good players on this team which can take control when we need it most, and Trey is another one we can count on to do so when needed. I am so happy we got out of town with a victory, and are now 21-0! Just fortunate that the Rebels do not have any good three point shooters, or this might have been a loss. Even still they did make a few to keep within calling distance of us, and fought hard to make it a game. That inbound steal in the final seconds sure froze my heart, and I though Oh No!, they're not going to come back and win this game, are they? But, they didn't, and we can breathe a sign of relief. But, they sure made it exciting! Little Extra: he scored 18 pts. 3 Rb's. 1 assist 2-2-Threes 4-4 reg.shots

We lose this game without him. Huge day for that young man to step up and play quality minutes and hit big shots.

If Schakel doesn't reach in on an UNLV player outside of the 3 point line late in the second half and Pulliam doesn't foul with 15 seconds left on the clock we win by nine or more. It was close, but it's on the road, an uncontested three as time expired has no impact on the game.
I like what Rothstein said at the half "a one point win on the road is a win on the road."
And I too love having Pulliam on this team.

He also played some great defense. Such a better offensive player when he's aggressive.

Let's hope Feagin doesn't start pressing because of what Pulliam did. I'm more concerned about Flynn. I hope he's not getting tired. He's played a lot of minutes thus far. When the legs go, the 3 point shots stop dropping.

Trey has been the 2nd best guard on the team since about game 10...
Not trying to start a debate, but he has 10 games with an Ortg of more than 100, while KJ only has four...
Not calling for any changes, just stating facts...

Part of being such a deep team is that someone is bound to step up when we need it. Pulliam was the guy today. Great for him and us.
I forget the game -- maybe it was Utah State -- when he scored 8 in the first half by driving the lane. In the second half he only played a few minutes and didn't score. When he's confident he can light it up.
Another key to the game: we finally figured out what Pete Gillen was saying the whole time, Hamilton can't go to his right.

Trey played a great game. He has stayed patient and has never shown that he is pressing the matter. His stroke seemed absolutely pure and I hope we'll see more of that the rest of the year.
Once again the team shows up as a team. Everyone contributes and everyone benefits with another win. Best "team" in the nation.

Viejas West does it correctly by allowing the opposing team to broadcast from courtside and not put in the rafters where Ted Leitner did the radio broadcast today. The MWC MUST step in and force this change. Also, to those criticizing the sideline tv cameras at Viejas East, they are placed in front of the upper level stands on 4 platforms.

what makes this team special is that someone different steps up each game and carries the team to a win. today it was Pulliam. number 22, Mitchell, should be the star for #22. But, it'll be the team with someone standing out.

Pulliam has been solid since day one, and seemingly gaining more confidence, and playing a greater role, with each succeeding game. I was amused when one of the announcers mentioned during the game that UNLV felt they have much better depth off the bench than SDSU. Are you kidding me? LOL

LOL When we are fully healthy, there are not a lot of teams out there that have more depth than us, but today, down 2 key players, them thinking they were deeper in that game is probably true.

Not many college players shoot a floater better than Trey or Malachi - very effective.
