After game he was on the CBS panel. Three panelists were discussing SDSU, how far they could go. All positive and interesting. Then this stiff, Wally S, opens his mouth and starts to unload on the Aztecs that they won't go undefeated. It's like he as to push the Big Red off the track. Wally, the Aztecs, are a feel good story. Go with it. Guy's stiff and dresses like a fool.

You guys are way too sensitive. I do agree with you on this. Not to mention, I do believe these analysts are paid to go in different directions at times. If they all agreed with each other all the time it would be boring and always stating the same opinions and such. Also, this is what gets fanatics or fans talking about them like we are doing now. Hell, I didn’t even know Wally was an analysts until this thread was started. 😂 |

I didn't have an issue with him. Realistically no one (specifically people here on the board) expect us to go undefeated on the season. That's not to say we don't hope to go undefeated. Like I said before, I'm just enjoying the ride as it seasons like this only seem to come once every 9 years for us.

I really don't care either way, but I have always felt he swings a little too much in the favor of P6 schools, and have often wondered if it was because he was from a mid-major. He doesn't want to be seen as biased towards them, or thought less of because he went to one, so he tends to take the side opposite of them. |

Wally always seems to be a fan of the Aztec program. At halftime of the game last night, he said that SDSU was going to come back and win the game. He just gave his opinion later that he didn't think SDSU would make it through the regular season undefeated. I don't have any problem with him at all.

I heard him at halftime and after the game. At halftime he predicted we'd come back and win the game. He isn't hating on the team, he is just being realistic - the chances of going undefeated are not high. I think there is a chance we could, but with each win the pressure will be growing.

Watched both halftime and post game comments from the panel. There was nothing wrong with what he said. Our odds of going undefeated where recently less then 10%. Our approach has got to be one game at a time and let’s just enjoy the ride.
When Andy Katz said we would lose to Utah State there was not an out cry on this board.
Side note, was watching the end of the UCLA/Cal game and the announcers talked about two teams. The color guy said that he believed that Gonzaga was the best team he had seen because they are big and the most consistent team he has seen. All the other teams are beating themselves. They then talked about the undefeated SDSU team and the color guy said the Aztecs are really good, know who they are, play within themselves and are an experienced team. A compliment indeed. Now back to that game, you talk about two disappointing teams that were playing like crap. This UCLA team is really bad right now and they recruit/get 4 & 5 star kids. Cal only had 25 points with 5 minutes to go in the game until then they made a couple of baskets to get the game closer.

Seriously people get over it. Did he say, “The Aztecs SUCK so there’s no way they’re going undefeated!”? C’mon, if anything he was giving the MWC enough props to not allow a conference member to go through an entire conference season unscathed. |
