2 possession game with 2 minutes to go... a team with Duke's talent should be able to reel them in from that. I'll be surprised if they don't.

Duke missing shots down the stretch... this might actually happen!

Down 6, 15 seconds and change to go... Duke is looking very screwed right now!

Now the question is - will this loss to an 8-7 Clemson team drop them below us? Definitely a worse loss than Kansas had and they barely stayed ahead of us in the rankings.

Depends what happens the rest of the week... First of all, we need to keep winning. Second, Kansas had multiple losses last week (actually 3 in a row). If Duke bounces back in their next one, they may not fall below us. They've got a pretty solid vote cushion. ETA: Clemson is 93 in NET... wouldn't that be a Q2 loss on the road? It won't kill them like losing to a Q3/Q4 team would, assuming they don't also lose in their next one.

It's pretty damn absurd that Duke loses to NET #93 Clemson and they're 1st in KenPom. How does that even make any sense?

Because that dipsh¡t is still including some of last year's data in his dataset. At least we will jump them in NET, and that matters more than Kenpom. The fact we're a 1-seed or 2-seed in the two "big" bracket projections is more reflective of the reality. Maybe if we all just collectively ignore Ken Pomeroy his data will just go away.

From a certain point of view, Kenpom will give us a boost in 20-21.

Times sure have changed for AZTECS Basketball. I remember when AZTECS hoped to win a game over top competition as Clemson did over Duke. now it is expected. as for fans, the only time we storm the court is after winning over a top 10 opponent (NO. 6 Nevada in 2019), a regular season title and/or tournament title or post season home games like St. Mary's. On one hand I would love to see the AZTECS run away with the regular season title but as long as the race is close, it narrows the focus to that day's game. Either new mexico or unlv will take their second conference loss Saturday providing they win Wednesday.

IMHO, not a good look for KenPom. Duke STILL being number 1 with the latest loss to a not very good Clemson team (yes, yes, beat N.C., but the Tarheels are shite), it smacks a little of farce. 'Control, come in Control! Set East Coast bias controls to 11!' Already detailed my own misgivings on leaning too hard into KenPom for March Madness picks. Rest assured, I will now lean all the way out on KenPom; Fake News!
