Enjoy the ride. The bandwagoners also help spread the good word, helping bring the whole community together to support the program.

And there will always be certain people who feel the need to critique them, for some reason.

What an atmosphere tonight!!!!! It started with the long lines prior to the gates opening (1 and a half before tipoff) and continued through the final buzzer. I give THE SHOW an A tonight for both numbers and loudness. About 50 minutes prior to tip-off the student section was filled. This win will cause other players to want to play for our AZTECS in upcoming seasons. Also, the AZTECS lowered their number for AZTECS wins and other team losses to 3 for winning the outright regular season title and number one seed in the conference tournament. This is the year for AZTEC FANS to take over Viejas East at the conference tournament.

I welcome everyone to the bandwagon.
Did you hear that crowd last night? Did you feel the energy in the arena?
I did. And it was WAY better than what we've seen for the last 3 or 4 years.
Bring the bandwagoners on!

I have had season tickets for Aztec basketball since the doors of Viejas (then Cox) arena opened in 1997. My son started coming with me at 4 years old in 2005 and now he is a freshman at SDSU, living 1 block from the arena. I was looking at all the banners after seeing the Kawhi Jersey unveiled. Last night made me reflect at the history that I have experienced at Viejas, not to mention the growth of my son. It has been a fun ride and there is a lot more history in store. What a fantastic night.
Aztec for Life! (both me and my son)

Not to mention the atmosphere in the arena.

I span the entire history back to 1962 and Peterson and George Ziganfoos (sp?) and Al Skelecky, et. al. I cannot describe adequately how fulfilling it was to be there with all of my fellow Aztec brethren and sistren to watch history made in so many ways. This is the season that seems to keep on giving to all of us who have lived and died with this program for so many years. To be at my age and to have such a deliverance bestowed upon me is probably more than I deserve, but I'll take and cherish it forever. Thank you Fish. Thank you Dutch. Thank you Al Schaffer. Thank you Michael Cage. Thank you Kawhi Leonard.

Like I've told everyone before, my son attended his first Aztec football game at age 9 months in 1969 (Pasadena Bowl) and still comes with me to all the football and basketball games. Sharing all that with my son just makes the experience exponentially better.
