Nice win over csu tonight. Now beat Reno in the next game to maybe take the no. 5 seed and a bye with San Jose beating unlv. Then it comes down to the tiebreaker. The AZTECS and unlv split the two games.

The difference was the refs let unlv players finish and then called a foul while a similar play for the AZTECS had a quick whistle for a shooting foul to take the ball out of bounds. That is inconsistent officiating. That should be criticized.

i am talking about when any player throws the ball off a player who is standing out of bounds. this play the unlv player was in bounds and threw it off a SDSU player standing out of bounds. the same rule says a player can't be the first player to touch the ball after they go out of bounds. it would be enforcing a dead ball rule. I was judging possession on the last player (unlv) touching it in bounds while throwing it off someone out of bounds. It should have been SDSU ball.

the one thing the crowd can yell is the actual words of B.S. when terrible officiating happens. also, the same play gets called two different ways infuriates players and/or a too quick or too slow whistle. unlv was given the too slow whistle (foul shots) while SDSU had the too quick whistle (take the ball out of bounds). that was refs deciding the game.

I had to think about my season tickets but I wanted to go to the court and tell these zebras they are terrible. To the SDSU athletic department file a complaint with the mwc to NEVER have these 3 refs again. I can take winning and losing but NOT when refs decide the game. SDSU did take horrible shot selection but the horrible calls overtook them. can someone explain how unlv got the ball with 3.3 seconds left when the pebbles player threw it off Arop who was out of bounds. I turned my back when the pebbles shot free throws in the second half. mwc needs to fire these 3 zebras.

the first half I was in black t shirt we trailed by 12 at half then went to my red hooded Aztec hoodie. We came back but not enough. What hurts even more is gonzaga lost.

I saw the replay at 3.3 seconds left and it should have been Aztecs ball. It went off a unlv player inbounds and touched Arop out of bounds. They even reviewed it. I hope SDSU never see these three blind mice refs again. And to the fan I encountered who said don't blame refs. B.S. Poor shot selection doomed the Aztecs and questionable officiating.

Remember the "No losses when leading with 5 minutes" streak? All streaks end. Start a new one. the Aztecs trailed most of the game from Aztecs 14-13 lead including at the 5 minute mark so the 5 minute mark was not involved today. conference and home winning streak being snapped. my beard will be shaved. |

the most important game is SDSU beating Unlv to stay undefeated and sweep the regular season series and knocking Unlv into a conference tournament play in game. also, Unlv has a tough game against Csu Tuesday.

The bigger picture is the AZTECS want Utah State to be a mwc tournament 2 or 3 seed meaning we could only play them in the mwc championship game. So Utah State in a close game. The focus needs to be on defeating new mexico to clinch a tie for the league title. A csu win allows the AZTECS to clinch outright with a win at Boise Sunday.

Silver Sevens, west of Hard Rock Hotel (on same street), is within a mile walk of Viejas East. I4Vegas has rooms available for march 5 to 7 at a reasonable price.
