Props to the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team who beat top-seeded Gannon Monday to advance to the Div. 2 Final Four. They had 5 players score in double figures. They are coached by an ex SDSU assistant coach Renee Jimenez. CSSM plays Minnesota State in the semi-finals Wednesday on CBS Sports Network at 6;30 p.m.

Props to UNLV for beating Boston College tonight in the NIT. They play at Seton Hall on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in their third NIT game. Are credits given for NIT games?

Motto from 2019-2020 season was NO CEILING SIR. Also, on the other side of the Boston Regional is Illinois. Payback for the 2002 NCAA tournament loss to Illinois but first beat Uconn.

SDSU Once again carrying the Torch & Money Bag for the Mountain West Conference... You're welcome MWC! I will not release the Boston College-UNLV game result yet for those who recorded it. Are there credits for NIT games involving MWC teams.

Yes, junior bowling grows in popularity led by Bella Loves Castillo and SDSU has the new or somewhat new bowling center built. Bowlers have their own bowling balls and shoes. Also, there are not many college bowling teams on the west coast. I watched college bowling on YouTube.

These sports should be added at SDSU. Men's volleyball, women's gymnastics and men's and women's bowling teams. 4 MWC teams competed in the inaugural season won by Boise State over Utah State, San Jose State and Air Force. SDSU has the equipment for gymnastics as they host events on weekends.

The UNLV-Boston College NIT game will be broadcast on ESPNU at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow. After the spring break recess, UNLV students return to class on Monday so they should be at tomorrow's game.

Gonzaga rolling kansas 74-53 at about 8 minutes. 2) UCSD trailed Chicago State 65-61 at 4-minute mark in CBI. I looked at the boxscore and it said UCSD was leading when it was wrong. This was not my error as the teams got switched in the boxscore. When the final score was put in, it said Chicago State won 77-75. Pope for UCSD missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer and time ran out. Tough loss for UCSD.

A religious, for profit university absolutely does not belong in our conference. We shouldn't even be scheduling these guys. Don't support these scammy schools that take advantage of students so their shareholders can make $$$. Thank goodness you are not the Athletic Director. Games (YBU, Grand Canyon, Saint Mary's and Gonzaga all NCAA tournament teams this year) against religious schools even in a loss are why SDSU is a 5 seed in this year's NCAA tournament. Also to you, games against USD, Notre Dame and Point Loma are not scheduled. All colleges try to make money for shareholders. Playing Grand Canyon 1-2 times improves the Aztecs strength of schedule. Top schools like SDSU are striving for is to take on all challenges religious schools or not. 63,000 fans who disagree packed our stadium to watch Notre-Dame play Navy in football.

Speaking of MWC baseball, UNLV had an inside-the-park homer to take the lead and won over Reno after the Reno right fielder let the ball roll all the way to the outfield wall. Turning to Aztecs softball, they won a 13-inning marathon 5-1 over Fresno State with 4 runs in the top of the 13th inning. Very classy of Fresno to let the Aztecs watch the honoring of 2 Fresno State legends, a player retired jersey and coach honored on their Ring of Honor from their NCAA Championship. Props to the Fresno 2nd basemen who made an outstanding catch off an Aztecs batter. Back to baseball, the Hawaii game was not shown on the MWC Broadcast page. Old-timers may remember the 1986 WAC championship game that SDSU won over Hawaii and I stormed the field from Ragger's Rail that was packed for free. Now, no fans are allowed there. Hawaii was nationally ranked that year and lost to LMU in the NCAA west regional final. SDSU lost to eventual champ Arizona 26-5 and then Texas Pan American University 10-6 now University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in the NCAA tournament to end that season.

Give the opposing teams some credit. Dayton was 3rd, Utah State 7 and SDSU 8 in the rpi standings on Microsoft sports. Colorado lost to Oregon in Pac 12 title game, Colorado's center is a beast. Colorado (22) is better than Boise State (40). Texas is better than Colorado State by holding CSU TO 11 points in a half. Texas made the Elite 8 last year and Nevada's opponent Dayton lost their conference tournament championship game to Duquesne that beat ybu. SDSU and Utah State were higher seeded and won against lesser opponents. As for New Mexico, they were a bubble team that wouldn't have made the NCAA tournament had they not beat SDSU and faced the 5th place team Clemson from the ACC. Then there's UNLV that defeated Ivy league regular season champ Princeton on the road in the NIT. Go Rebels and beat Boston College tomorrow at home. I hope Vegas fans show up tomorrow and Pack the Mack with a crowd over 10,000. Also, the Rebels were scheduled to play Dayton on the road until that UNLV on-campus event canceled that game.

This is about Aztecs opponents in conference. If the MWC expands, stays the same or loses schools, Grand Canyon tops my list of schools to join (men's and women's basketball is one reason) despite GCU not having a football team. GCU president says adding football would take away from the other school sports. Playing Grand Canyon twice a year is an upgrade in SDSU'S strength of schedule for men's basketball.

I'll say no, since I would believe that they would have mentioned that, but not positive. This is a reference to the NCAA rule on "conduct/ejections from March 2014. I'll leave to each to determine its application in this case. chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.ncat.edu/_files/pdfs/campus-life/basketball-rules_march2014.pdf Section 5: Player Conduct A. Officials have the authority to banish from the game (out of sight and sound) any player or coach who in their opinion is interfering with the safe and peaceful conduct of the game. Spectators are also included and will be asked to leave the gym. B. Any player ejected from the game must leave the facility (out of sight and sound) within two minutes or the game is forfeited. Two technical fouls received directly by a player or coach is an automatic ejection. C. Any player or coach ejected from a game will be ineligible to participate for the remainder of the current game as well as the following game, NO EXEPTIONS. [/b]Thanks for stating the rulebook. There may be a 1-game suspension added to CBM getting a flagrant 2. Should Auburn win, that means CBM would be suspended from the game against SDSU.

Cunningham's elbow to Scott's face gets a flagrant 1. That is the correct call at 10:15 left in the CSU-Texas game.

Texas made 2 miracle shots, the 10-15 ft hook shot and the 3 to end the first half.

Damn, there sure is a great deal of smack talk on this forum the last couple of days. Boozie and Wolf Pack. We haven't played yet and I hope we can shoot tomorrow. Something about a glass house. I'm certainly not going to make any rude comments about our conference mates performance in this years tournament untill we've won a couple of games at least. It was Nevada fans who started it by making negative even vulgar comments about SDSU during the 2023 Nevada home game against SDSU. That motivated the Aztecs to make the NCAA championship game. No empathy from me now.
