Was reading an article about SEC commish Sankey and his desire to expand the tournament and for the elimination on the auto bids for some of the smaller mid-major programs. He said this just before the 5 of the 8 teams in the SEC laid a giant turd and lost in the first round. The article then said this: "One writer called the SEC’s comeuppance “the greatest evidence for karma” that he’s ever seen. Another joked that Sankey “opened his big mouth before the tournament and the SEC immediately turned into the Mountain West.”
Ouch! Of course it didn't help that Nevada snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and the donks wanted to keep their tournament record of defeats alive.

Give the opposing teams some credit. Dayton was 3rd, Utah State 7 and SDSU 8 in the rpi standings on Microsoft sports. Colorado lost to Oregon in Pac 12 title game, Colorado's center is a beast. Colorado (22) is better than Boise State (40). Texas is better than Colorado State by holding CSU TO 11 points in a half. Texas made the Elite 8 last year and Nevada's opponent Dayton lost their conference tournament championship game to Duquesne that beat ybu. SDSU and Utah State were higher seeded and won against lesser opponents. As for New Mexico, they were a bubble team that wouldn't have made the NCAA tournament had they not beat SDSU and faced the 5th place team Clemson from the ACC. Then there's UNLV that defeated Ivy league regular season champ Princeton on the road in the NIT. Go Rebels and beat Boston College tomorrow at home. I hope Vegas fans show up tomorrow and Pack the Mack with a crowd over 10,000. Also, the Rebels were scheduled to play Dayton on the road until that UNLV on-campus event canceled that game.

Going into today, the MWC is 3-4. Their two teams seeded in single digits are 2-0. CSU destroyed Virginia in their play in game but played poorly the next. Boise's offense didn't show up for their game. Nevada had to have an epic collapse to lose theirs and UNM crapped the bed.
I wouldn't be surprised to see USU do well against Purdue, even to the point of winning the game. If we take care of business then we should win. As to seeding, the MWC did what they were supposed to do. The SEC lost 4 on day one despite being the lower seed - #3, #4, #6, & #7.
It's too bad Nevada chocked but I cannot stand Alfrod. Anyone see one of his players from UCLA called him out for being a bad coach?
