Not sure why, but for the first time in memory, I'm not nearly as worried about an Aztec game. I know Yale is good and they just beat a team that I thought we would have lost to. Maybe it's because this year is such an exact replica of last year with the seeds and the #4 upset and the #1 overall seed looming.
We can obviously lose but it doesn't seem as ominous as it did vs Furman. We have the athletes, the tournament pedigree, a defensive POY, a NCAA Regional MVP and an All-American. I even think we cover the spread and I ALWAYS worry about that.
Maybe it's because of that Zen picture.

I always worry, am apprehensive but excited for every Aztec BB game. Just more of all that once we get to the MWCT & NCAAT.
Bottom line, if we play at least our B+ game I think we win. We can muck it up and play our “C” game and still win, but those are the nerve racking one possession games that we make enough mistakes to put the result in doubt.
I’m hoping this program now has the “we win in the NCAAT, that’s what we do”. Our opener vs UAB felt like an NCAAT game that we lose more often than not up to 2 years ago. But now we win those.
We should win, we are better- but it’s about match ups and how you play that game.

I think we can disrupt their shooters just enough for us to pull out the win. If their big guy gets his, and we control the outside shooters, I'm good with that. Ledee needs to stay out of foul trouble, obviously.

Somebody should've seen this coming. Aztec Shops and/or The Show dropped the ball when it comes to PR on TV. All the Yale gear on the MM show leads them all to cheer on Yale tonight. Not that it makes any difference in the outcome, but as usual, SDSU gets left in the dust. Hopefully they come up with the same game they had vs USU in Las Vegas and drop a load on the Yalies. Anything short of that will just give Chuckles an opportunity to gloat and deflect the Auburn loss.

Somebody should've seen this coming. Aztec Shops and/or The Show dropped the ball when it comes to PR on TV. All the Yale gear on the MM show leads them all to cheer on Yale tonight. Not that it makes any difference in the outcome, but as usual, SDSU gets left in the dust. Hopefully they come up with the same game they had vs USU in Las Vegas and drop a load on the Yalies. Anything short of that will just give Chuckles an opportunity to gloat and deflect the Auburn loss. That’s ok, they will love our Mascot on the sidelines there!! |

Dang, these refs in the GCU & BAMA game $UCK big time! Missed calls-calls where players aren't touching anyone, guys pushing others down and no calls. This scares me how LeDee and the game might be called.

They don’t use the same team of refs for back to back games in the NCAA tournament so hopefully our crew does a better job

Tonight’s game is where the rubber hits the road. Given the Mountain West Conference’s showing in this tournament, a loss tonight will help validate all prejudices; a win will be a win, and not much more.
