Dayton may have shot like 80% in the final 5 minutes. When they didn't make a field goal Nevsuxada fouled them. Hard to win when a team does that.

The 3 calls were correct made in the final minute or so. The call on the ball off a Boise player's leg, the sideline call the Boise player had his foot out of bounds and the other possession call. Their men lost and their women got blown-out by Montana.

Can the Duquesne Dookies pull off a well deserved upset of YBU? Probably belongs in the "other college" spot, but who doesn't want to see YBU lose? Tied 60 all with a little over a minute left. For this month, anything about the NCAA tournament should be on the same thread.

In the NIT, UNLV beats Princeton 84-77 for their 20th win. UNLV hosts Boston College on Saturday or Sunday.

There is a Biden impeachment inquiry hearing today about the Biden foreign financial crimes (bribery) that is airing on C-Span 3. The key witness is Tony Bobulinski. His testimony confirmed what I said in previous comments about suspicious activity reports and bank records involving Joe Biden aka The Big Guy. Adding, text messages between the Biden's prove their guilt. Missing from today's hearing is Hunter Biden as a witness.

NIT/CBI

Thank you NIT and CBI for not inviting University of Texas Arlington to a post-season tournament after the incident with Grand Canyon in the WAC Championship game. Down 10 with 10 seconds left, UTA used a full-court press and Grand Canyon threw the inbounds pass to mid-court, Collin Moore drove to the basket and made a windmill dunk at 2.7 seconds left. Next, 1 UTA player shoved Moore (flagrant 2, ejected) and another UTA player threw the ball at the Grand Canyon bench (flagrant 2, ejected). These two incidents earned more than a 2.7 second ejection. Correct action is players suspension and team ban from post-season. Moore then made 3 free throws. This is the game I am talking about in my comment in the CSU-Virginia game thread.

Virginia didn't full court press late and Colorado State decided to take a shot clock violation. There is a part of the game when down big that a full court press is called off along with stop fouling. Also, that tells the offense to keep scoring when the trailing team uses a full-court press or fouls down 10 with 10 seconds left. A windmill dunk for the leading team is the result.

The Spokane Arena looks like the Sports Arena in San Diego. One exception is the luxury boxes under the second level. It holds about 12,000. There is an open area on the 4 corner area of the baseline seats. The Spokane Arena hosts hockey. So it might be cool inside that venue. Search is Spokane Arena and photos. Advertising boards are on the railing of the second level with a scoreboard on the railing.

How does "an open dialogue on May 2020 events" pertain to players celebrating at an event almost four years later? Did they extend the scope of the topic? He probably wanted to comment something like "You suck! You disappointed me for losing 3 out of the last 5 in the reg season". Or, "Don't celebrate get the 5 seed you losers". You know how it goes with some posters. No one would be complain about the comment section being closed unless they had something mean and negative to say and want to be "heard". Wrong. My comment would have been supportive of the players and coaches. Beat UAB and whatever happens after that.

Here is the Spokane forecast: Friday 54-38 with rain starting after tip-off, Saturday 41-28 with rain daytime and Sunday 43-27 cloudy. When I went to Denver, the plane had to be de-iced in 2006.

My response is on June 1, 2020, Athletic Director Wicker sent an email (I kept this email) to the Aztecs community calling for an "open dialogue" about May 2020 events. An 'open dialogue" means both pro and con comments are allowed and can be extended to all issues involving SDSU. Closing comments is not an open dialogue and against what that Wicker email said. This video showed the players in a celebratory action of finding out who they would play in the NCAA tournament and the community can't respond with comments on this video. Next, YouTube allows comments on their videos.

A 2024 Thanksgiving tournament has the Aztecs vs. USC in Palm Desert. Two notable teams in that event will be announced later. SDSU could be in an 8-team NIL Pay for Play in season tournament at MGM Arena in Las Vegas. Dates to be announced. Another team in that tournament might be Duke plus other notable top 25 teams that have played in the Final Four except Alabama. Some programs claiming National Championships. 10 teams are in discussion to be in that 8-team loaded tournament that features better teams than the Aztecs faced in Maui in 2023. Then there is the Gonzaga home game. That is scheduling up.

There is a video of the Aztecs players celebrating their name being called from the NCAA selection show. It is time to allow comments on the goaztecs page on youtube. Instead comments are turned off. That must change.

I was so glad that I changed flights to make the game where Winston Shepard had the only triple double in Aztecs men's basketball history against IPFW in the NIT. Some Aztecs memories were advancing to the NIT Final Four twice. Making the NCAA title game is the best highlight. The players and fans earned one more game. Lesser tournaments motivate a team to go to the NCAA tournament the next season. Happened for the Aztecs in the NIT in 2008-09 and then NCAA tournament in 2009-10.

SDSU was shut out of the 2 minor tournaments. Was this a selection committee decision? If yes, that is a disgrace. Colorado State, New Mexico and SDSU did not get one more chance to play.

Just in: UNLV did get a NIT bId and play at Princeton. 6 teams refused to play in the NIT and is not acceptable. Teams refusing to play should forfeit any money from post season games involving their conference members.

With 6 MWC teams going to the NCAA tournament, that means UNLV is in the NIT. Reason is the next placed team in a major conference. This conference must strengthen their non-conference schedule. Again, SDSU had the best non-conference schedule in the MWC.

New Mexico still to be placed. That makes 5 MWC teams.
