Isn't this insane?? This is crazy - but, we've seen this thing building, and 3 years ago we thought this very thing would happen that year.
Well, this is amazing, but it's not quite so insane. It just feels that way because we're used to being Charlie Brown. That ball keeps getting pulled away and we keep ending up flat on our backs with the wind knocked out of us.
Until today.
Win or lose on Monday, this is a team of Champions.
And at this point there is no telling what will happen on Monday. We've got a legit chance. But no matter what happens this team - and it's coach - is something special.
The San Diego State Aztecs' men's basketball program has arrived on the biggest stage. This is now a big time program. It was already a very, very good program, but now we're big time!
And to all the haters East of the Rockies? Well, DX would have something to say to you...

Tears all around after Butler's make. We're here in Catalina and all geared up. Lots of others too. Getting a ton of "Go Aztecs". Still processing that we're playing in the last game of the year.

I have never seen such a group of fighters in my life. The grit with this team is unreal. Thank you boys for giving us all such a treat. I can’t believe we’re playing for a national championship and to have it go down like it did tonight. Simply amazing

It's just so surreal. I haven't shed this many tears in I don't even know how long. My phone hasn't received this many texts since our wedding. All I've been able to type to friends (even the ones I haven't heard from in years) is, "I've been telling you" "I've been telling you", and well damn it just feels so good to type to that with conviction.
Gentlemen....we have arrived!!!!!!

This is such a special team!!! When down big in the second half of a Final Four game most teams would have imploded. This team has grit, guts, and a never say die attitude. Absolutely amazing!!!! One more game to a nattty!!!! GO AZTECS!!!!!!!!

...is this real? This isn't just a dream, right? Because right now life feels like it is but a dream! I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around this.
SAN DIEGO STATE IS PLAYING FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!
I mean, we all believed to a point, but the fact that it's actually happened, it's completely surreal. I just can't believe it, but at the same time knowing how hard Fisher and Dutcher and all their assistants and all the players have worked over the last 24 years I can TOTALLY believe it!
Life is but a dream.

UConn and all the "pundits" think that UConn is the one on a roll, but SDSU has now won 8 in a row. This isn't over.

To watch that in person is one of the top moments of my lifetime. I will never forget the loud roar after Butler’s shot went in. Remarkable. Just remarkable.
