I’m still in shock and I was there!! I stayed up till 1:30am Houston time watching the game replay on CBS Sports Network and couldn’t fall asleep till 3:30. One of the greatest moments of my life up there with Dwight Clark’s The Catch, my wedding day and the births of my two boys. I kept asking people “did that really happen?” It was bedlam. Pure joy and pure bedlam. Ditto on the up al night! We were stuck in a heavy FAU section and, embarrassingly, after the shot for some reason I kept yelling “Lamont Fkng Butler, the Butler did it again’ amid a throng of deflated Owls fans who I am sure were getting tired of my relentless cheering. Let’s do it again tomorrow night Aztec fans! Another note, as often happens when we chanted ‘we will be victorious’ we totally regrouped with a fierce barrage of O rebs. Still buzzing over this moment, a proud Aztec dad and alum here! |

Wow, the fans there are very, very confident. We won't score 50 points? Kind of a blase fanbase. We had much more in common with the other two fanbases in my opinion. Aztecs representing REAL well in Htown! |

Score prediction for Monday is AZTECS 63 Uconn 56. AZTECS win their first National Men's Basketball Championship. Creighton held Uconn to 53 points. 40 minutes of hell AZTECS. I was off but close on the FAU prediction of AZTECS winning 70-55. The AZTECS will play better defense and the AZTECS offense getting enough against Uconn.

Very excited/nervous about the game. Kind of sad to think that this is last time we'll see guys like Arop and Mensah play in an Aztec uniform.

I feel like everything is perfectly lining up for us. We match up very well against UCONN, yet they are coming in with a high level of confidence after easily beating their post-season competition and SDSU going down to the wire. We have nothing to lose - anything can happen tonight!  |

UConn looks to have a big advantage wither bigs. Nathan, Kesha’s and Ladee Can neutralize that and must do so without foul trouble. Unlike previous tournament games, I don’t think we can expect to come back from double digit deficit, but keep it under ten and we could shock the world!

About what I would expect them to say Yes, and I noticed that maybe only one or two of their posters brought up the Alabama game. That would have hurt their narrative a little more and given us more credit. But yeah, pretty what I would expect as well. |

The later part of my youth was in LA after I had already adopted Bay Area teams. It was awesome rooting for the opponent in a sea of LA fans. |

The mantra of the tournament is FEARLESS! let’s keep it that way. We fear NO ONE!
For a number of players this is the end game. The day of days is here. I believe every one of our guys will leave it all on the court and will rise to the occasion. For most, this is the biggest game possible and a chance for immortality.
We are all behind you and believe this is our time. We have already proven that we are a great team who can play with anyone. Who cares about the Power 5, East Coast, and Media biases. The media has already crowned UConn champs. They feel like this game is a formality and that we are just a slaughtering pig who have been lucky. They all want our guys to think we have no chance. Don’t believe any of that BS. At they end of the day, they are going to have to lace up and work for it. I know this Aztec team won’t go down without a hellacious fight.
Go get that banner, rings, and f$&@#g eternal glory!
