Reports indicate Fernando Tatis has been suspended for 80 games. Violation of the MLB’s joint drug treatment program.
Ouch!

Hard to jump to conclusions - YET - but hopefully he has an explanation. If not, he deserves not only the suspension, but after this season, a full dismissal.
He can take his shoulder and PED popping elsewhere.
Sure opens the door for Soto to become #1 Padre. (well, maybe after Manny)
80 games takes him into next season.
Whoa Nelly!

Maybe the boys can rally and make the playoffs anyway. Stranger things have happened. Nonetheless, a tough break for the Padres.

If allegations are true, it's yet another bad break for the Poodres…
After all the coddling and off-season injury doing something stupid, and now this allegation of felony stupidity, Junior gots a lot of 'splainin' to do…

Unbelievable.
This dude has made at least two BAD decisions since signing one of the richest contracts in the history of pro sports.
I’m disgusted.

I don't anticipate they will, but they could at this juncture. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not.

These things always feel like allegations … In a different world, there'd be all kinds of remedies and appeals. His already went nowhere. Of course, this is all part of the player/MLB contract, so the players may not always get what they bargained for. He used some ringworm meds, apparently. So it's kind of a cheap shot - if true…

Like junior says, we'll be 32 games into 2023 before the suspension is up. Hopefully they won't trade him for Eric Hosmer by then.
