let the fun begin as there will be a huge debate over memphis or boise as the group of five top team. I pick boise to be the group of five rep. next, the playoff teams are LSU, Ohio state, Clemson and Oklahoma. last, the Aztecs would have given boise a closer game.

i am still awaiting news of nevada players suspensions for their bowl game? also, the suspensions could lead to any bowl snubbing nevada. there must be a punishment for brawling including loss of playing in a bowl when it happens. The nevada a.d. needs to do the correct thing and turn down a bowl bid. yes, I feel the same way if SDSU was involved. The mwc makes a good sportsmanship comment before games and this brawl violates that policy.

while the ap poll and coaches poll mean prestige to me the poll that really matters is the rpi ranking and SDSU is no. 15 with 1 win over the top 50 and 2 wins against the top 100. let the season play out by keep winning and the other polls will take care of themselves. GO AZTECS!!!!!!!!

here are my three incidents with lobo fans: 1) sitting at the front bar of Excalibur having post game drinks when a group of lobo fans screaming "everyone's a lobo woof woof woof". my response was yelling AZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTECS. The hotel said I couldn't scream from the bar. no fighting or violence. 2) at the 2013 or 2014 after they beat us, I was standing in my seat and a female lobo fan smacked her purse into my back. my response was "excuse you" and she responded she wanted to fight me. I wouldn't bite. 3) in march of this year at the women's tournament between SDSU and new mexico, i started yelling loudly supporting the AZTECS and this female lobo fans said I was sitting in her section, she was on the Aztecs bench side of the t@m center (open seating). but the top incident was in 2017 involved a racial slur made by a colorado state men's player who said "Look at the moves by that n word". I believe it was during the nevada-fresno state game. I could have turned around to knock off the racial slur but I told arena security after it happened instead.

fans all across this country would be pleased to have a defense that good and streaming through the turnstiles. yet, our community choose to not attend games. That said, the top home game attendance will be ucla in 2020. This Aztecs fan wants SDSU, ucla, and usc all have 10 wins in the same season. there are more than enough quality high school players in so cal for that to happen including getting players from southern section powers Mater Dei, St. John Bosco and San Diego power Helix. As for rankings, We won and didn't receive any votes in the AP poll today with a 9-3 record.

two observations is the mindset of SDSU students and san diego state alumni (less than 1000 students? in the student section is a disgrace) and the desire to attend home football and basketball games and that if children attend games with family they are more likely to be fans for life and keep going to games. I despise bywho but their fan base is made up of mom and dads who bring their children making them fans for life. I started attending games in the 1970s before I was a teenager with my late father and having lived in san diego/inland empire nov. 1990-mar. 1991 for most of my life meaning I AM AN AZTEC FOR LIFE. It is a disgrace that a city with almost 1,300,000+ residents that san diego can't sell-out our stadium of about 65,000. also, the weather is normally good and so what that it was in the 50s for tonights game this was our version of football weather. Minnesota sold out their game with Wisconsin and it snowed during today's game and/or travel on icy roads just to get to their school's sports events. here is an idea for next year football games all upper level tickets are $10 (currently unsold except for the sky show game). field, plaza, loge, press are $20-25. the loss of ticket revenue would be made up in concessions and merchandise. also, parking is $5.

this will be a bundle up time as temps will drop into the 40s during the game. this may make the top 10 coldest home weather games. it sure beats the 85 degrees for the new mexico game (hottest November game ever) in 2017.

i was at that game at csu in 1986 and it stopped snowing around kickoff. the only thing the Aztecs had to dodge was the nearly non stop Colorado State fans throwing snowballs. the field was pretty good considering it snowed. I remember one pro game where the field at our stadium was iced over that night but melted before the game. now to yesterday, the two plays that were more costly was not reviewing the potential Aztecs safety (score would have been 7-5 deficit and Aztecs receiving the free kick) and the bogus Tezino penalty. last, it would be nice to leave the field uncovered by tarp and a muddy field would benefit the Aztecs against bywho. Most likely the field will be re-sodded for the holiday bowl as it has been in the past.

Two san diego channels on cox (ch 4 and fox sports san diego) could pick up that game. it is a disgrace that a game for a division title is not on regular tv yet.

Reyna is good at not getting sacked. Allusive. but his nemesis is the interception. We got three.

thanks for filing that in. I add the 1990 Morse team among the best San Diego teams ever. that could be the year Morse beat Henry 70-7. my point is the competition was a lot tougher back then with teams with 100 players with about 50 san diego county high schools compared to about 100 now. now teams are lucky to have 40 players or less and two way offense and defense players.

Mr. lux was incorrect with his assumption, on the PPR, that this year's team put Henry on the map. He was wrong. the teams from the 70s and 80s put Henry on the map. the 1971 team may have been the school's best team losing to Grossmont in the 2A final 8-7. 3A started in 1979 and was large schools back then and only the top 2 conference teams made the playoffs. no opponent scored in double figures against them and allowed 29 points all year ( current all time san diego county #2 fewest season points allowed). 1973 lost to Kearny in the 2A championship game 1974 lost to a very good Vista team in the 2A championship game. 1983 had a very good team in only allowing double figures to then nationally ranked Colton, won the Eastern league and lost to a very good Vista team in the playoffs 3-0. also a team in the late 90s was 11-0 and lost to San Pasqual in the playoffs. back then Henry was a 3-year high school and over 3,000 students with a top of about 4,000 and in the Eastern league and 2A 1978 and before and 3A after 1979 until early 2010s. now the school has about 2,400 spread across four grades and steps backward to div. 4, city league and all teams in all divisions choosing make the playoffs. The 1994 team with Ricky Williams beat Morse in the regular season won the Eastern league. Henry lost to Morse 14-0 in the 3A championship game. That is a very good past with Eastern League championships, playoff wins against the best competition to ignore.

boos are not a bad thing as the fans have high expectations for our Aztecs and especially after fresno lost and considering any one of 4 teams could now win the west. had the Aztecs won, they would have had a 2 game lead in the west and clinch a tie for the west. that what makes the fans take the step of booing. it is called frustration.

tonight's observations: 1) lack of sideline emotion by players 2) poor clock management at the end of the second quarter in not using their last two timeouts (3rd down and 7 with 48 seconds, stop and force Nevada to punt and maybe get a field goal 3) questionable officiating calls (targeting?)
