Aztecs currently 12-0 with 3 teams (BSU, CSU and UNLV with 4 losses).
This makes our magic # 3.
UNLV and Boise both play @utah State this week...I'd predict those to both be losses. CSU plays @ Fresno and then hosts Utah State on 2/11. KenPom gives them about a 50% chance in each.
Assuming we beat Air Force, I think it's very possible we clinch the #1 seed and outright conference championship by beating the Lobos on 2/11. If CSU or one of the others goes undefeated, we'd clinch at Boise (assuming wins vs. AF and UNM).

Once we clinch we sit the starters in the 2nd half and let the bench players get more time

Once we clinch we sit the starters in the 2nd half and let the bench players get more time huh? not when you're playing for an undefeated regular season and a 1 seed

Sit the starters just because the conference is clinched? Hell no. We are beyond that as a goal this year. We are aiming for top seed in the “Tournament” this time. Can’t take the foot off the pedal.

Hoping Utah State takes down UNLV tonight and then this weekend they do the same to Boise.

It's all on USU as to when we clinch, and since USU is fighting for an at-large berth it could be sooner rather than later. UNLV, Boise & CSU all play USU in their next games, and with the exception of possibly @csu, USU should or could win all 3. I think we'll clinch the day before we play @bsu (16th, so on Feb 15th), but given how well CSU is playing it also wouldn't surprise me if we'd need to beat Boise to actually clinch.
