I was surprised to find out the Tournament is early this year, which means extra time off before the NCAA (could be good or bad). Anyone know why? I am guessing money, or lack there of by the MW

I am guessing money, or lack there of by the MW The ConEXPO- North America's largest construction conference is town the traditional week of the conference tourney. The last time it was in town it drove hotel prices through the roof. This was the conferences way to help make sure people would want to make the visit. I know personally a couple years ago when the ConEXPO was in town the same week as the tournament, hotel prices were insane. I ended up paying almost $300 a night. Compared to this year at NYNY I'm paying $500 total for 4 nights with resort fees.

I'm not worried about Air Force at sea level or Wyoming anywhere (maybe even at Petco Park.....no, never mind)
I've been surprised that Fresno State hasn't appeared to have gotten much better as the season progressed. They're good at times but can't close, which is kind of normal for a young team. Anytime we face Hutson, I worry though. I'd rather play anybody else in that bottom 6 besides them.

Hutson may be a good coach, but his team is so inexperienced and young they just don't know how to win yet. So, I am not concerned about them. In the regular season our last few games may provide more competition. We play at Boise, and have Col.St. at home which could be a very close game now. Then we end the regular season at Nevada, and they are unbeaten at home this season. So, no easy games in those, but we'll see.

You could write a Dr. Seuss book on the many ways in which we could beat Wyoming. We could beat them in their gym We could beat them with just one limb We could beat them on a neutral court We could beat them at a resort It's unanimous if by vote, We cold beat them on a boat

What are your recommendations for a walking distance hotel that is not the Hard Rock? I am planning to go for Friday and Saturday nights with my 76-year old father. Looking for comfort, price, decent food, low-key gaming. Not looking for luxury or hard partying scene.

Silver Sevens, west of Hard Rock Hotel (on same street), is within a mile walk of Viejas East. I4Vegas has rooms available for march 5 to 7 at a reasonable price.
