My two conclusions were great Aztecs defense and cold shooting Utah State to start the second half while holding Utah State to 5 points in the second half until about the 11-minute mark. The second play was when the Utah State 3-pointer was ruled late after replay with the score Aztecs 46 Utah State 44.

I used comments from a UNLV supervisor when I made a comment against the no tailgating policy and that was the supervisor's response. It was great Saturday that the Thomas @ Mack staff and police left us alone to have championship game Aztecaritas both before and after that game. I loved the new location.

Speaking of UNLV, their two losses were to Pacific with a 15-17 record and to Oklahoma State who is in the NCAA tournament. The bracketology had UNLV as a 12 seed due to a NET of 52 and a S.O.S of 252. Now to SDSU, their best non-conference win was over Portland (in the NCAA tournament) on a Ramos buzzer beater. SDSU owns 2 wins over New Mexico, 1 over Wyoming and 1 over Colorado State while losing three close games to UNLV. Those 3 are in the WNIT. SDSU and the three other MWC teams should host a first-round game. GO AZTECS.

Great game but too many timeouts in the final minute. That was stupid for Fresno to take that last timeout that stopped a game winning three.

Those driving to Vegas should use the Cactus exit near South Point Hotel and Casino and then go left on Las Vegas blvd. The second change is UNLV is smoke free at the T@M. No more going outside section 106 either.

Those Aztecs fans including myself driving up to Vegas Sunday will face a wind alert for the San Bernardino Mountains and the high desert. The temps should be above 32. I look to be in attendance at the women's play in games Sunday. The Aztecs women play at 2:30p.m. Monday afternoon.

SJSU rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second half to win today. SJSU will go for win number 20 in the 4 vs. 5 game at the conference tournament.

Watching on the MWC website with the announcers making this comment. That while a mercy rule is in place, it only used in the last game of a series. This game will go 9 innings today. SDSU leads 18-5 in the top of the 6th inning and still hitting.

The 2004, 2005 and 2006 MWC tournaments were in Denver that makes 3 and not 4. That day in 2006 was epic as the AZTECS won a championship and it snowed outside the Pepsi Center. The temp dropped that night to about 20 degrees. Flying home, the plane had to be de-iced for my first and only time. Adding, 2006 was a cold winter for inland San Diego County. Last, the 2003 tournament was the first time I attended the tournament in person.

Interesting that Using those 5 letters against that school up north, got my anti-ucla comment censored. That school wrongly suspended a professor who tried to make students take their finals. Those ucla students wanted to protest rather than attend their finals. A professor who kept the final schedule was wrongly suspended in 2020. Yes, I have that anti-ucla, pro Aztecs say t-shirt from a football game in the 1980s.
