Udeze 25 PTS 7 RB, Mashburn 22 PTS, House 11 PTS Wow, what got into Col State? Don’t have to wait for the tournament for March Madness to begin… the madness has already begun. CSU went off for 92 pts. Stevens and Tonje had Senior Night games … Stevens with 13 Assists and 17 pts Tonje scoring 24. Team shot 58% FG and 55% threes. That’s pretty much what got into them. Loblows had no answer despite scoring 84 points. Nice to watch House flailing around…and losing. |

Think it was Senior Night - just as it was when the Aztecs played BSU
Road games are tough for everyone and there is even additional emotion with Senior night - that can also mean a coach may start seniors who have not started but have additional adrenalin for the game
So know that Matt , AG , Keshad , Nathan and Adam will start tonight - for the Aztecs - interesting back court of Matt and Adam , also have AG and Keshad at the forwards
Key of course who gets to guard the Cowboys star 6'7" guard

So who does it look like as # 8 and # 9 seeds in the MW T - possible Aztec opponent in the Thursday game If they played today, #8 CSU vs #9 Fresneck; #7 UNLV vs #10 Air Force; #6 UNM vs #11 WHY-Oh. If I read the MWC Tournament bracket correctly, then I think Aztecs will play the winner of the #8 vs #9 game - so that'd mean they get a charged up CSU team or the Fresneck team that lost by only one point a few weeks ago. Fresneck isn't playing a conference game today. So if AF wins I don't think they move ahead of Fresneck since they'd still have one more loss (13). Fresneck gets the short schedule advantage there. UNR and USU are currently tied, so that creates a tie up if they both win their games. If Boozie loses to USU, and UNR wins their game, there's a 3-way tie-up for 2nd place. So there's still plenty to be decided tonight as far as final seeding goes for next week. But for now, it looks like SDSU gets either CSU, Fresneck on Thursday at high noon. Holy cow! |

Fresno didn't have a short schedule... this was their "bye week", and they filled the gap with a buy game with traveling cannon fodder team Chicago State (23 road games vs 4 home games) so they would have a good tune up game before the MWCT. |
