This is such great news! We finally can get away from San Jose, Utah State, Wyoming and New Mexico. Air Force should go independent. I can’t see Calford coming back to a conference that includes Fresno and Boise. Too much Academic snobbery. It will be interesting to see if UNLV eventually gets in. I hope they do.

Picture Gloria Nevarez as Lucy. Charlie Brown comes running to kick the ball and at the last minute, Luc, um Gloria, pulls the ball back but Charlie isn't being Charlie this time and kicks Lu, um Gloria, square in the ass and through the goal posts to secure vic-tor-ree!!!!

Air Force is already talking to the AAC. The AAC has Army and Navy.

I don't want the MW to implode like the Pac 12 did. BUT IF the current pac did pick up, say, UNLV and Nevada (bleh), AND AF left to the AAC as well as NM and Utah St, would there be an exit fee since 9 teams are leaving?

Wait to see what happens to the acc. There is a reason those schools were left out. They bring nothing to the table. Unfortunately for unlv they find themselves in a crowded market. The glory days for them ended when tark stop biting his towel. Going forward we will only have 1 elevation game a year. F yeah. F the mwc. They can go f goats a mile high for all I care.

Along with picking up the remaining MM basketball money, which would be a nice little bonus after NOT paying exit fees (nice to dream)

The MW/Pac4 schools all lose their voting rights when they announced they're leaving. That leaves 8 voting schools left. 75% is required to vote to dissolve, which means 6 of the 8. That's a total of 10 schools then coming over from the MWC, which basically equals one more dead-weight school gets added. Who stays on the island? Wyo and SJSU? Wyo and AF? It still beats a FULL merger, I guess, but the merge of ten wouldn't be very attractive as a whole.

Listen to JD again, he says even with the exit fees this is a good deal… they have models with all of the fees and models with much less… AFA is going to the American… The P6 are hoping they take a travel partner like UNM or USU which would reduce the leftovers to five schools… UNLV, SJSU, Wyo, UNM/USU, Nevada and UNLV… The precedent has been set by the P12 becoming the P2, negotiations lead to reduced fees and some of those fees and or assets can only be kept if the leftovers rebuild the league…

If that was the case, Gloria would be out there shouting from the rooftops. I don't see the MWC getting both the "poaching" and the "exit fees" because that would be "double dipping." Perhaps the PAC settles with just the "poaching" fee. That is what I think.

Voting rights are terminated once you give notice. SDSU, FSU, BSU and CSU no longer have voting rights. I think the remaining teams will want to collect the exit fees and buyout $ from the Pac/ 4 departing teams, before they exit.
