Assclowns in stripes give away fouls for ticky tacky crap and allow hacking and mugging in the lane. No wonder Lamont looks puzzled!

It's not a poor game to watch..... Outstanding athletes giving it their all.... We didn't lay an egg....we wore down and became stagnant on O the final 8 minutes.....we still played hard, but who in their right mind ever thought we were perfect..... Last night was perfect....Hard to duplicate that effort! Gotta rest up and get ready to play the real tournament! I wouldn't be suprised if NM losses right away after blowing their load in this tourny! NM has more overall talent than us imo, so nothing to be ashamed at really. Yea Mashburn played above his level today but Dent really didn't even play either so there's that. I can't disagree!

As much as I hate to admit it - New Mexico was the better team today.... Neither Trammell nor Butler played well offensively in the 2nd half....MIA! Both teams gutted it out in what's usually a super sloppy game.(MWC championship 3 games in 3 nights) Simply put, their guards played better than our guards - plus wave after wave of big men thrown at Ledee... New Mexico 4 wins in 4 nights is impressive Silver lining to all of this....hopefully the loss puts a chip on our shoulder and we appear healthy.... Go Aztecs! The chip on shoulder will only add to the anchor around our neck. It's possible! But, I hope you're wrong! Hopefully, we didn't play our best game against Utah St.

Toppin is a Freshman and Dent is a Sophomore. I'm sure Toppin will get paid by a big time program. Allick left NM last season for Nebraska. He averaged 7 points, 5 RB'S and shot 54%.

I know I got called out hard for daring to suggest that it might be better for Lamont to try somewhere else next year but even though I love him as a person and love his defense, I think what makes me so crazy is how inconsistent he is for someone who's played 127 games over 4 years. Look at House, Mashburn, Rice, Blackshear, Lucas, Stevens, Thomas etc. It shouldn't be that difficult to get a guard that can take over a game now and then. I'm not interested in getting into the whole Lamont debate in this thread, however, something became painfully obvious to me a couple games ago...... Lamont has tiny hands for his size..... ......He loses control of the basketball on almost every CONTESTED drive to the basket. This is obvious over 4 years of witnessing him continually losing control of the ball around the basket......It's not a criticism - it's just a fact...... It's hard to take advantage of his quickness, girth and leaping ability when he doesn't control the ball well.... How many times has he hit the bottom of the rim on his layups? With his hops he can get above the rim if under control.

Media hype, ive never seen the statistics or facts to back up "teams are soooo tired after 4 games", but it gets people to believe BS. Its all they can do to drum up "interest" and more clicks Well we had a bunch of fans here saying it's gonna be hard for NM with playing 4 games in 4 days. I think they outplayed and outhustled us for the most part despite playing 4 games in a row. Whatever the case, we need to do better next week. Agree! The game I watched - we were the 2nd best team!

Turn out the lights, it's over. No banners just missed shots in the air! There still is a small chance of winning two games and getting another Sweet 16 banner.... It all depends on match ups and guard play. Trammell or Butler could go lights out in the Tourney again.

If beating up on an undermanned FSU team is the best we've got....then we're in trouble..... I like Lamont and DT to perform better in MM..... DT will rise to the occasion!

We could probably sign guys like them too. However, if they can't play defense then it's a deal breaker. I'm done with that lame formula. Good shooters can be taught defense. It doesn't work the other way around.

Team becomes softer than a baby's behind at the worst possible times. Over and over this season. Today it came back to bite them in that baby's behind. They had this game won, but they couldn't put it away. Plenty of blame to go around, starting with the crappy defensive decisions on switches that left Dinky Trammell to cover their big, and Tidy Heide to cover House. WTF was that all about? It's like they left their brains on the bus today. No one was paying attention to the bench. Numerous times one or more of the coaches was screaming at them to switch back and - granted - while it was loud, a court leader could've gotten them back into the right positions. The bench coaches almost got T'd up at one point as four of them were on the court screaming at the same time. That obviously worked like a charm. D'oh.
Today, they were outplayed and outcoached - the Lobos just plain beat them. Close game, sure, but one they could've easily won with a little more "luck" - and a better offensive set. Turnovers didn't help either, as UNM scored 14 points off of the AZZZZZtecs 10 TOs. UNM had only 4 TOs, and the AZZZZZZZtecs didn't capitalize on even one of them.
It was a good game for UNM, but unfortunately, back to business as unfortunately usual this season for SDSU and their fans.
Next week is another week.

Why can't the zebras blow their whistle when our guards get mugged in the lane? It's incredible to me the number of calls that House got, and the complete lack of calls that Butler got.

DT will rise to the occasion! At least to 5'9" anyway. He'll probably be eaten alive by some of the teams they might play, and like today, they could easily lose as a result. Love his heart, and soul, hate the height. He too often gets tied up in the paint because of his size, and if he's not able to launch 3's, like today, there's no production. 3 points today . 3. That's how games like these are lost...

We accomplished what we needed to do in Vegas, so no worries over today's loss. We protected our generally positive assessment from the committee by downing the hottest team in the league on their home court, beat the regular season champion by 16 points and only fell in a competitive game against a team that's also well regarded. Many top teams nationally were blown out in their tournament losses, so we're okay in comparison.
Surely the 4-4 record to close the regular season knocked us down to a low-5-seed or high-6, but nothing happened this week that's likely to hurt us any further.

The coaches better have raised holy hell after the game in the locker room. Could it be that they lost the team if they had to resort to screaming at them like that? If true I'm not liking what you posted. If that carries over to MM, we're done.

They have more top level players … more “skilled” players … they might have 4 of the 5 best players in our game, and their guys are more consistent and dangerous offensively. We look better walking through the airport. 😆
