Acee's newsletter talked about it and Emilio went on Zoom last night and addressed it personally, FWIW. I hope Pagan gets straightened out. I really do. On another team. I think the team is primarily at fault. Without getting too much into it, just off the top, the Padres have relied on six relievers who have thrown more than 62 games each. For context, the Dodgers have only had two. Johnson was unavailable last night, Adams has far and away exceeded his career innings total and there's just not a lot of depth left right now.

In Pagan's case, he has been in the same number of games that he was in during the 2019 season with Tampa Bay, but has thrown fewer innings, while allowing more hits, runs, walks, home runs, with fewer K's. It really is OK if they move on from Pagan, IMO.

Padres down 8-3 bottom of the 8th. If they lose, the best they can finish is @ .500 IF they sweep the Giants. Yeah, that's happening.

78-81.
After the game on August 10th, the Padres were 67-49. Their best record this season.
Since that date, the Padres have gone 11-32.

And with tonight's 3-0 final, the Padres are assured of a sub-.500 season.
The Padres are also in the midst of their longest losing streak of the season, at 7 games.
Their last 44 games, they have played at a .250 pace. 11-33. That is the same pace of the 1962 Mets, who played the entire season at that pace, finishing 40-120.
It is beyond ridiculous.

Hudson just came into pitch the Bottom of the 8th after we just tied it up. What are the odds that it stays tied? Hope I'm wrong.

Cronenworth can't be back soon enough. This is a doosy. I thought you said you never liked him? Lol.
