All media in this town is? So, they are all wrong, and you're right? Is it more likely that they are all lazy and short sighted and costing their business dearly or that there is no product to sell? If you ain't even got a steak, it gets hard to sell that sizzle. I didn't say all media......and I didn't say all are wrong and I was right. That is something (your comment) you commonly use taking shots at me.  No, not all media.....Coach Kentera talks Aztecs.....Mike Costa talks Aztecs.....A couple of other talk Aztecs......Remember Mike Costa was told by his producer and the owner of the station he worked at a couple of years ago to STOP talking about the Aztecs. So some are willing to talk. Hey Monty....You have your opinion and I have mine. I think the UT and the local media are missing a fantastic (and big business) opportunity by ignoring the Aztecs. Is it ok for me to give my opinion? Do I have your approval? PS....Aztec Basketball is sizzling steaks and has been for 3 years. Of course you do, hopefully you won't get butt hurt and can engage in a conversation when you do give your opinion. I don't attack you, I attack your position, you just choose to take it personal. |

Huh? He's already 6th all time in passing yards. With 5,707 yards, he'll fly by McGuire (who is in 4th with 7,484) this year. He's on pace to be the all-time Aztec passing leader for yards (who happens to be Todd Santos 11,425) attempts, completions, and TDs (he'll also have at least 3 more games to do it- Santos played 11 game season but also had a bowl appearance). Not sure where you got the 16K from, unless you're thinking of all time NCAA. Then that would be Timmy Chang of Hawai'i with 17, 072 And to match Dan McGuire Lindley would need about 16,000 yards in four years. Not likely. I make the statement as McGuire played only two seasons and had about 7,500 yards. One a per season basis he had more yards than any other Aztec QB and I believe that Blanton was the most efficient. Lindley is good. I'm not complaining at all. But, it is good to keep some perspective. |

Only the last two are bad. The final one particularly so. Brings back memories of the ex's old Air Supply albums.  To be fair, you are right. I happen to like Livin' on the Fault Line and the one before it. Still, how can anyone like these more than The Captain and Me or Stampede (or for that matter the albums they've done since MM left)? Bob Hope looks just like I feel. |

No, they are short term thinkers or to lazy to put in the effort. All media in this town is? So, they are all wrong, and you're right? Bingo The UT writes about what the most people want to read. That's why you don't see tons of Aztec news. and Bango. I don't believe there is some sort of conspiracy over at the UT to trash SDSU or that it is their job to toot our horn even when we suck. I believe that like any other business they sell what people want. The Chargers are very good right now, yearly SB contenders, and so the UT has a ton of stories on them. If the Aztecs were as good as Alabama or USC I'm pretty sure they would receive the same coverage and hype. Simple as that. We just have to accept that right now it's just us hardcore fans. Just like when the Chargers were going 1-15 and 4-12 in the early part of last decade. The arrival of a certain coach and player changed that. Hopefully the same thing is happening on the Mesa. Build it, and they will come. |

SDSU basketball is doing it's part. They're already selling more season tickets than ever, there's a buzz around town, and last season there were plenty of glowing UT articles as they kept winning and winning. Two of my friends, neither of whom are even from here, got so caught up last year they drove to Vegas to catch the MWC championship game. Now both are pumped for the upcoming season. Hopefully Hoke can do for football what Fish did for basketball. Hokeamania in 2010? Maybe. |

I'm trying to walk away; I've tried to engage in Aztec conversation and you just try to bait.
