Done deal. Now what? Biden is now traveling to the capitals of the former Soviet client states to address them that we're behind them! Whew! Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards You complain a lot about this, and rightly so, it is a power grab by Putin, but I have yet to see you post anything as to a suggestion on a better strategy. If your were POTUS what would you do?

Can't say that I disagree with his proposals. >> link <<At least he doesn't have a man crush on Putin like Win does.

If your were POTUS what would you do? I have above... I also countered every unworkable response contained herein with reasoning and a fair degree of context. Further, I mocked the hypocrisy, with detail, of the phony, finger-wagging efforts of our leadership without them drawing and hard lines, equally as important. Our credibility of not acting sooner, drawing early hard lines with real whole-of-government and internationally supported sanctions was the green light for Putin. Not.

You could have engaged as I was discussing the issue, exposing the hypocrisy, etc. you bowed out, ignored, then came with this weak a*s response? Don't bother wasting our time. This isn't a situation for military intervention. This is one that will require the full spectrum of soft power and diplomatic tools. Sadly we don't have those types of hard nosed diplomatic negotiators around anymore. We are way too sensitive and forgiving, or in some parlance, "understanding." Our government will make speeches, hold back some project or other monetary issue, or make some substantial (token) effort. In the end it will be up to the Ukrainian people to solve their own problem on their own, without our assistance. I hope Putin doesn't do it but I expect he will. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards Those are your words. I think summed them up quite well.

Ukraine had a coup. What happens after that is up in the air. If part of the country wants to break off, what right does the rest have to keep them? None. They had a coup. By definition you throw the country into a lawless state.
