The point shouldn't be you guys are happy as clams that we didn't get blown out, the point is we had every chance to win that game against a mediocre team and didn't. This is a hell of a round about thread to pat ourselves on the bat for a moral victory against a 7-6 team that will be lucky to get to that record this year. Nobody is happy, not me anyway. I just don't agree that it was the kicking that cost us the game. Turnovers cost us that game. I’d just like to know why Rocky thinks he doesn’t have a kicker on his roster who is even capable of hitting an extra point. I’ve never heard of such a thing from a coach. And if we really have no klcking talent at all, then whose fault is that? And since when did McMorrow, highly rated in high school, lose all his ability? Most of all, since the two kids on the roster now are the only two kickers we will have this year, for better or worse, then shouldn’t their head coach be trying to boost their confidence instead of humiliating them in the most public way possible? How good does Rocky think McMorrow will get if he says to the kid, “Son, you suck so much I won’t even have you attempting PATs.” Forget Saturday's game and the five points, this is about the rest of the season. A head coach is supposed to be a psychologist, and right now Rocky isn't doing real well at it.

AGAIN, the PAT decision had nothing to do with the kickers and everything to do with his "rockyball" strategy.

Amazing to me how if the aztecs made one of the two 2 pt conversions, the aztecs still lose but the lack of kicking becomes a non-issue here.

We need to make a poster hall of shame. I used to see the same kind of posts about Fisher. Bet many of you end up getting new names for the board.
How many of you were there for the game? The rest need to shut-up!
Our team played hard. We were the better team in the 4th quarter.
We lost because of 3 turnovers. End of story.

Like that's the only way someone should be entitled to an opinion. You get more insight from watching a game on tv anyways. I'm glad SDSU was better in one of four quarters. Makes me all warm and fuzzy. ..Sent from my Samsung GS3..

The kicking game stuff changed the complexion of the game and just kept adding obstacles we had to overcome to where we were never just a score/a play away despite shutting them down in the 2nd half - Rocky's plan never gave us a chance to win that game. But this is a great, hooray, we didn't get blown out by a team with a very slight pulse thread, in Rocky we trust. Geez, Monty, it must to be hard to be so depressed all the time.

If they make a certain percentage at certain distance it is factored in. The opponents strength is factored in,. Injujries are factored in. There will be filed goals and there will be extra polints. The3 chart doe scall for field goals in certain situations. However if the guys are not making but 40% of forty ard attempts in parctice you might as well go for it.

In that case, we've regressed from the Craft era...

The Aztecs play 12 games this year and we just finished our first game. Washington was ranked 24 and we are ranked around 65. There are names for people like you.

I am with ya monty.....that game was winnable. The Katz int on the first possession killed some momentum but the team clawed back and played a great game....well enough to be in a position to win. We had some huge breaks go against us (not complaining), its just fact. Lockett's fumble was a result of a helmet to helmet, so be it. The team rebounded and should have had the ball with a chance to win, but a few coaching decisions didn't allow that to happen.

Again, my gripe with football is not being able to win the games we're not supposed to. We're right there, but can't seem to pull out the win. If we're going to continue to build this program and take it to the next level, we've got to surprise folks and upset teams here and there. We don't have that many opportunities to do this this season, so this was an excellent chance. Water under the bridge...

The big question I have for the rest of the season.......if we are down 6 and score a late touchdown to tie (say the score is 23-23 pending the xtra point), would Coach go for 2 or kick to make it 24-23?

Going to games is part of the solution. If you don't go to games you are part of the problem.
