Bulls**t. Go check out your post. So which is it?(as you like to say quite often to BBA) Do you give a rats ass or not? You even decided to say "more importantly, he missed the last shot." So hell yes you called him called Jamaal out on it. Get real. I think you might be misunderstanding me here. The point is that his team lost - that is more important. He could've scored 100 but his team lost. That should be all that matters, plain and simple. If anything, I called out BBA or anyone else who consistently praises him for scoring a ton of points and nothing else beyond that. I give a rat's ass if it's an Aztec game, but a Drew League game with stupid ass team names, no defense, and video highlights with lame music? Please. And yeah, I guess that means I'm ragging on the Drew League now. I do agree with one of BBA's assumption though: JF may, in fact, lead the nation in shot attempts per game. You talked about how much inaccuracies bother you, and should bother everyone in general. Well, you did call out JF for missing that final shot, and even said, "more importantly, he missed the final shot." So yes, you did call out JF on that one, to be ACCURATE. TEAM obviously is more important, but I just wanted to correct you inaccuracie since you hate them so much.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt because yes, I guess I did technically call Jamaal out for missing the shot. While you may think it was a straight "call-out," it was not. I mentioned his name and "missed the shot" to prove that the guy is not superman and more importantly, to highlight the fact that yes, he did miss the shot which ultimately could have won the game for his team. We wax on and on about his skills but his team lost and no one seems to care. I would rather him score 2 points and have those 2 points be as time expires to win the game than have him score 43 and his team lose the game. Please don't mention how he "won" the game for us vs. UNLV last year - I'm aware of that; I'm talking about this one particular issue. And yes, I do hate inaccuracies, including your misspelling of the word. I also assume you meant "your" instead of "you" in your last sentence.

I'll move on after this, but of course the win is the most important thing. From what I understand, and something you shouldn't gloss over, is the fact that without Jamaal's 43, they don't have a last shot for the win, which he had the balls to take. And yes I forgot the r in the word your, and misspelled one or two others. Ooooops!!!

I think the reason why people have a problem wih BBA's freaky man crush on Jamaal is because it's the only thing he ever psots about and it's f**king annoying! One trick pony at its worst.
The fact that he once had Skip Bayless as his moniker on here should tell everyone all they need to know why he says things like "Jamaal will" instead of "I think Jamaal will." He feeds off of causing controversy and decisiveness and everyone like NorthCounty Mike is feeding the troll. He's like the Hacksaw of this board willing to say whatever it takes to get attention (callers). He attends Drew League games. I'm pretty sure he has no life outside of stalking Jamaal and annoying people on this board. Probably plays a lot of World of Warcraft too with his "online friends."

I understand what I'm doing, so no worries there. I also know that there really isn't much left in the sack to feed the troll. It won't be long and he'll be on food stamps. BBA did say earlier that he's not a fan of basketball anyway; he's an analyst. Some would say that Tom of AztecMesa and Aztec Radio fame is an "analyst" too. Just saying.

Jamaal is way more than just a high wire act, he plays big. That highlight where he got 3 or 4 offensive rebounds in a row against larger players is eye popping.
I am really looking forward to this season. I think Jamaal will have some big scoring nights and maybe a triple double, but there is too much firepower on the rest of the team for him to lead the nation in scoring.

Our firepower that does the creating is the same as last year. Jamaal, Chase, X...our finishers are better though. That means more assist for the creators, but still the bulk of the points. Team averages go up but individual scoring #s can increase also.

Things to analyze: If you look at the best NBA shooting guards, Jamaal is the right height but needs a better shooting percentage: Ray Allen 6’5” .452 Jo Johnson 6’ 8” .444 James Hardin 6’ 5” .444 Eric Gordon 6’ 3” .452 Dwyane Wade 6’ 4” .486 Yes, defenders are better and the 3 pt line is further. But this is the gold standard the NBA wants.

Jamaal improved a ton over the course of the season, hopefully this keeps up as he goes forward.

As a result, his % jumped from the mid 20s to over 40%. If Jamaal takes the same approach we'll see a dramatic increase in his 3 pt FG % also. I'd like to see him make that switch this year but the College game is just way too easy for him to have to make that adjustment now.

My whole point is that Jamaal should be performing like this at the collage level.

My whole point is that Jamaal should be performing like this at the collage level. It's impossible for a College player to develop his complete pro game at the College level. It's a totally different style of play. That's why the NBA drafts off of "potential". It means they have in mind what you'd be able to bring to the table in the NBA game. Every player on the court has a specific job that they get paid to do. College is like an audition for the job you want. Jamaal resume as a proven scorer with elite athleticism, FT attempts/ %, unmatched hustle and ability to hit the open shot will bode well for him.

My immediate NBA comparison for Jamaal is Marcus Thornton of the Sacramento Kings. If you're familiar with his game, you'll understand why. Jamaal happens to be longer and more athletic than Thornton so he'll be able to do even more.

Shot well from 3 pt range at LSU and continues to shoot pretty well from NBA range (higher percentage than Jamaal at college range). I think Jamaal is more athletic than Thornton, but JF still needs to continue to develop his 3 ball. If he can solidify that shot and improve his handles, he can have a nice NBA career as a 2. Hope he pulls it off.

If Jamaal shoots 35% or better from 3 point range that would be great. I'll take that anytime as shooting 34% from 3 pt range is equivalent to slightly better than 50% from 2 pt range, a good percentage for a shooting guard. The only downside to shooting 35% from 3 pt range is if the shooter is taking too high of a volume of shots while passing up opportunities to work the ball for a shot with a higher than 50% chance such as a layup. Jamaal usually did not fall into that habit of firing up too high a volume of 3's and only a few were too early in the clock. I bet he will improve in all such areas this season.

He kinda reminds me of marshon brooks They both have the same willingness to put the ball up, they both get to the line at a high rate (in College). The difference is Marshon has a much smoother game and better handles. Jamaal has a much bigger motor and is more athletic.

If you wanna be the guy's agent, just put in a bid. Posting about him here isn't gonna get you the gig. You should spend less time analyzing me personally, and more time sharing your opinion and thoughts on Aztec basketball players, coaches, recruits, etc. "Don't hate the poster, hate the board." -BBA
