Again, my latest post was calling out someone's claims and accuracy, which you didn't address. My posts are not about JF; they're about people that make bogus claims. I'm not calling him out for missing the last shot; I like a guy who has confidence in himself to come through when WE need it. My point was that BBA was off by "only" 1 point, which is the same margin of error which decides the outcomes of games. We care then, right? Why not when a guy makes a claim that is proven to be false? Sure, maybe he carried his team in this latest game, but who knows - maybe if someone else had taken the shot, maybe they wouldv'e made it. We don't know. It's a double-edged sword. If JF makes the shot, we say "see? Told you he could do it - all he does is win." If he misses it, we say, "oh well, he's done so many other things so well, he was bound to miss a shot." If a teammate of his misses the shot, we say "why didn't JF take that last shot?" It's not fair for everyone else on his team. It's tremendously short-sighted of us as fans to know the outcome before it happens or to think that just because a guy scores 43, he's the best on earth. I don't give a rat's ass if he made the shot or missed it....this was not a SDSU bball game so that point is moot. Where does all the "best on earth" talk come from. Nobody ever says that. The extreamism is ridiculous. I make simple conceivable statements like, "Jamaal will average 25+ PPG" or "Jamaal will be a lottery pick". Those things are well within the realm of possiblity. And what is this 1 point thing? I'm lost...And to answer your question, Jamaal shouldn't have been the guy taking the last shot. He was too hot, there was no way the other team was going to let him get a good look. They should have ran the play for someone else....but from the flow of the game, you could tell Jamaal would be the guy to take that shot. BBA, you should know that the "extreamism" truly is ridiculous. The "extreamism" has been solely created by you and no one else. You make "simple conceivable statements?" In this very thread, you said Jamaal will "lead the nation in scoring" which you later downgraded to at least a "top three." These, among a handful of others, during your stint on the board are not just simple, conceivable statements. They are outright assumptions; dreams that you hope will come true so you can tell us all "told you so." The "1 point" thing I refer to has more to do with the guys that criticized me for being harsh on your inaccuracy in reporting last year's top D-1 scorer (26.2 points vs. your stated 25 points). I wish you were more concerned with accuracy and correctness than you are in your man-crush for JF. So now in this latest post, you cool it with your JF praise by saying: "he was too hot...the other team was never going to let him get a good look." But I know that your next post will of course, be JF-centered and probably be riddled with blind JF praise, because you don't know any better. There are no other SDSU athletes, there are no other SDSU teams, and there are no other SDSU sports.

If I wanted to be dead on all I had to do was google it. It wasn't that serious. Anyhow, Jamaal can easily score 26+ PPG this season. There is nothing outlandish about that prediction. I don't follow any other SDSU sports. I prefer basketball. Is that wrong? Then I guess you hate everyone who doesn't attend football games. I here they have enough open seats for the pigeons to sit down lol

If Jamaal is scoring 43 pts in games this year I have only one thing to say...."Houston, we have a problem!"....
For him to score that many he would have to take about 30 shots, and that is alot of possessions for one man to monopolize!

So how will we know if you're being serious or just screwing around? Seems to me that it's pretty convenient to say you weren't being serious the minute someone calls you on something. Of course, Jamaal can "easily score 26+ppg this season." We all know he has the skill set to do it. Guess what? There are probably 50 other guys in America that can do it on any given night (nothing "outlandish" about that prediction, right?). You didn't say "I think JF has a good chance to lead the nation in scoring." You said flat out: " the guy will lead the nation in scoring." If you don't believe me, look at your first response on page 1 of this thread. Stop making claims like this and then saying you were just kidding and downplaying it when someone calls you on it. It's bull$#!+. Every time you say something like that, expect someone to call you on it. Predictions are all outlandish, and that's why it's stupid to make them. Also, way to go on making a joke of the football program. I guess you can only support the star of a team that's good. Must be easy to pick and choose an athlete and teams as you see fit. That's not being a true fan at all. I'd even go one step further and suggest the fact that you don't like or appreciate the real game of basketball either. Loving only one athlete doesn't make you a fan of the TEAM game of basketball.

Northcounty and BBA...on Google it is "extremism" if you each want to be entirely accurate.
Give a rest, Jamaal is and will be a key player on this year's team just like everyone else but in different ways and attributes.
Enjoy the season once it starts because if Jamaal has an over the top season that BBA is projecting then he will be gone.
This is what I absolutely love about Aztec sports, an under the radar player as perceived by the rating sites, media, etc. Aztec player blows up big and they all have to admit in some way shape or form that they "MISSED" it, but we did not as Aztec for Life fans enjoyed every second of it.

Aztec fans seem to believe in the team but no necessarily their players. Jamaal is a can't miss top 10 prospect. But some fans won't see it until draft day, then they'll still be surprised lol. In College sports, not all players are created equal. There are some that are WAY more important to their team and essential to winning than others. I don't buy the "everyone is equally important" bs. You remove Jamaal from last years team and what you have is a squad that would struggle to win 15 game. You remove Jamaal from this years team, you have a squad that would struggle to win 20 games...its that simple.

But this year will be different. We don't have a 6 man rotation. My crystal ball shows Jamaal could see more time on the bench this year if he doesn't prove he can make his teammates better. Coach has already layed the foundation, its up to Jamaal to make it reality. If he struggles with the team game, he'll be the best player in the nation watching from a chair. It's that simple.

Jamaal is the ultimate team guy. Nobody else on the Aztecs has the ability to draw double teams like Jamaal does. Jamaal is probably the best passer on the team as well. He'll be the reason others are able to get easy points. Jamaal has the Aztecs on his back, just accept it and embrace it. You'll love what he does for the TEAM this year....and in the process, he'll get 25+ PPG.

Fatmanaztec - I know how to spell "extremism." Did you happen to notice that I put "extreamism" in quotes twice? Hopefully that raised an eyebrow or two. Go ahead and try to find inaccuracy (including spelling errors) on any of my posts....I practice what I preach. And, I would hope that someone would hold me accountable for my mistakes too in that regard. This will not be today's daily Jamaal thread either, I'm sure there will be at least one more at one more thread will be hijacked...

I'm just really happy that I have the chance to post about how well the TEAM is going to do, and at the same time, being able to post about one of the best players in the Nation INDIVIDUALLY.
Not alot of schools can do that. Embrace it while you can this year and have some fun with it. Go nuts, make predictions. Do it, because YOU CAN this year!!!!

Fact: no sports team has ever won a game without Jamaal Franklin. The New York Yankees never would have won 27 World Series without Jamaal. Jamaal is MVP of the USWNT's olympic run. Steve Fisher never would have been hired at SDSU if Jamaal didn't give the admin his ok. If you disagree you don't know basketball
