The AD has apparently allowed way to many events at the stadium. This field can't take all the activity.

Mistakes were made and continue to be made, this stadium has had too many more poor showings. This is 2024 in San Diego with some of the mildest weather in the WORLD!

What looked worse last night the team playing on the field or the field itself.
Top Dressing (sand flying everywhere) Weak looking lines and graphics Yellow color of grass (on TV) Discoloration and patches everywhere Endzones that looked like colored sandboxes (Poor TV optics) . . . .
add together with poor attendance again and this program is not getting things done!

The team is not good, bottom line. But what is "crazy" is being dismissive and not looking deeper at the issues. Are SD fans fair-weather? YES. But what's crazy is the AD charging the prices they have at the stadium for a weak product. The stadium is nice, don't get me wrong. But with so much going on outside on the concourses like fantastic food & beverage options, there are a lot of people who dont even go to their seats. They are all at the bars or away from the field. This doesnt help the environment one bit. The main club level right behind the team bench is always empty. You ever ask yourself why? Because everyone is down below in the club drinking, eating and watching on TV inside there. No one cares about the game to be out in their seats watching, making noise, & creating an environment. Viejas is perfect for creating this environment in a big way because there are no such amenities or separation from the action. Then we can get into the fan culture aspect that SDSU has gone out of their way to diminish, but that would be an article. Might have to actually do that. Pretty much right on, and club level prices are very high Was looking at the history of some of my old invoices from past years and season ticket prices went from 250/year to 10 times that in Snapdragon, and that's not including the Stadium Excellence contribution. Not a fan of the Lewis style, it's going to take convincing evidence that this coach was the right hire for me to renew my season tickets Last night’s debacle cemented the decision for us. No more throwing good money after bad. If there’s ever a game we really want to see, there will be plenty of available seats…

I think it was mentioned regarding Grand Canyon University, that they REQUIRED all freshmen to go to games. I think that is a great idea here. If you can require them to live on campus, then requiring game show-up should be on the list as well. It would be cruel and unusual punishment to make freshmen sit through an entire season watching this team. I would be fine with losing JD Wicker personally.

They need to lower the ticket prices by about 75% to even have a hope of drawing fans.
Right now it is a terrible value and the attendance reflects that.

This about sums it up and will be the way most people will now look at SDSU football, good luck selling season tickets and building a true fanbase, I hope Gucci Row enjoys all the open space.

The turf is horrible. They better fix that for next season.

It appears that The Great Snapdragon, has transmogrified into The Great White Elephant---offering fodder for many comedians.

I can't help but wonder if they built over an Indian burial site or a toxic waste dump ? It is downstream from the Chevron Refineries in Murphy Canyon. Are the Aztec Gods angry about eliminating the Aztec Warrior ?

Actually, State has a better handle pricing than the posters on this forum on the whole. If State dropped the price 50%, I doubt that they would sell every seat in the house. Their jobs are to optimize attendance and dollars in the bank. Philosophically, their strategy is destined to fail. They took a potentially great thing and squandered it. The basketball program did it the right way. Affordable tickets and season ticket plans, slowly build momentum, and slowly raise prices. I'm not saying football can't right the ship, but their chances of doing so with their current strategy is almost nil. I'm well aware they've got bills and bonds to pay but drawing 14-18k per game won't do it and won't grow the program either. Build a 'Student Tailgating Park' that is parking, and a grassy area with tables, that only students can use. Have some spots set up for tailgating on the pavement, and some parking spaces next to the grassy area for people that want to eat and drink at the tables. Have a few BBQ pits. Make it a fun atmosphere for students. Got to get more student buy-in to grow the fan base long-term.

More suggestions and ideas like this, maybe someone from the university will notice, something more then just renting out a couple chairs, an awning and a cooler for big bucks (to a college student) Pre-events for the students in the park DJ's, food, games, prizes drawings (at half time and after 3rd quarter) ................................. something
