Then split the Season with 2 or 3 families to make it fit for you or spend more one time a year ($331 with parking, 4 dogs, 4 drinks and popcorn. I think you can bring in unopened waters. Save $40!) Or don't and keep complaining. That might work for some but not for the majority of casual fans. They want to buy a “family pack” for a single game and be done with it. Splitting season tickets with multiple families is too much effort for someone who just wants to go to a game on a whim. The family pack is $82 ($72 if you bring your own water or $60 if you don’t eat at the stadium) per person at this juncture as shown above. Maybe they consider picking one game a season and do something for less but it’s not going to be a tier 1 or 2 game.

During the sixty’s you couldn’t sit at home in front of your 65” 4K HDTV and watch SDSU football. You couldn't see Aztec football on any size screen. We weren't ever on TV with only very few rare exceptions. That’s why SDSU averaged 40,000 fans in the seats.

Make one of the upper level corners a Family Section. 4 tickets (2 adults, 2 kids) for $100-120, maybe throw in a parking pass. They will likely buy food/drinks as well. At least do it for 1 game! Or, continue to charge $75 apiece and they dont come at all We don't have enough parking for 35k. Remember that the City politician wanted the park plus the low income housing? People just need to take the trolley. Kids ride free so 2 adult and 2 kids on the trolley is $10.

Better get your season tix at $200 now. In a few years when we play Oklahoma people around here will complain about prices. Realistically we only need to sell 20k in season tix because 8k is reserved for students, 2k for away fan base, 1k other, and about 2k for general public.
For the Oklahoma game I imagine there will be some comps to local median and have extra recruits come in to watch the game for free. I can see them placing temporary bleacher behind the student section.

I would have brought 10 people to the game but not at $115 for a visitor side upper level. They just won’t pay that much and I can t afford to drop $1200 for one game. Sucks. I had season tix for year 1 of snapdragon.it is a great arena and perfect for Aztec football. Would have renewed but came to find out that for at least 3/4 of all the places to hangout on the concourse… my season tix and AF contribution didn’t mean squat … can’t get in unless you pay even more. The whole “exclusivity “ thing is a major turnoff. Charging this much is kind of the antithesis of what my SDSU experience was …. A quality education for a fair tuition price/cost That should be the ethos here …. A quality.Football game experience for a fair price. Used to really enjoy taking the family and friends tailgating without breaking the Bank. If you don’t want to pay for access to the premium areas maybe consider buying a $60 ticket (or less for certain games) and visiting the awesome Cutwater Bar or Dos Equis area where a ton of people enjoy these venues. Typically you pay extra for more amenities. Same for table service at a club, buying a nicer car or sitting in first class versus coach, etc. Make it work within your budget and support the team. Or choose to take your money elsewhere but the complaining doesn’t solve anything. They reduced the prices from last year and can’t give the farm away. Okay Mr. Bigshot! I am a former season ticket holder since the the Murph, Qualcom and Snapdragon, through the all the decades/years we were absolute shite and the program was threatened to fold. So FYI I do my part and have done so for years and years and don't need any lecture from you. BTW Check out the name of this thread! Take a look at attendance! Obviously people/fans are "complaining" with their pocketbooks JA. FYI I'm not complaining since the dipsticks in management at SDSU don't listen anyway. . . I'll just not go and neither will about 10 other people who would have gone and they may have gone again the next week and again etc. Instead the big timers "complain" about empty seats and lack of of support and buzz at the stadium and how we can't get into a quality conference and all that other BS . . . maybe complaining will solve something apparently the "complaints" lead to a token lowering of seat prices. Have fun at the empty "club" ordering table service.

Was trying to Propose a less expensive solution and share there are plenty of non premium areas that are awesome within the stadium (it’s not an arena btw) that don’t require additional cost. Not a lecture, just facts.

Back to basics here, the first and most important thing SDSU needs to do is WIN OVER THE STUDENTS and increase attendance and have them stay longer then just the first half.
Winning over the students is the first thing, then maybe getting them interested in returning for more games and other sports and activities.
This could lead to having more involved young Alumni that turn into more involved older Alumni/donners and boosters later in life that continue attending different activities.
***I know this sounds like a broken record but this University needs to figure how to get more students involved in going to the football games (it really helped the Basketball program!)

I bought two East Club (now Dos Equis Club) seats before the stadium opened and signed a three year contract. While I love the club experience and the nice area to hang during game, too many fans never go to their seats and watch entire game from the club. The sections looks practically empty. Considering moving to regular seats next season.

Does anyone know why the students tend to clear out during the second half? Are they trying to beat the rush to the trolley or something? I went to SDSU in the 90s and we would sometimes to tailgate through half-time, then go watch the second half. It seems like the exact opposite today.

Maybe they leave early because it’s easier to get back to campus because they ride the trolley now.

I believe certain areas are way over priced. They should make the pink areas the price of the orange areas and the purple, green and blue areas the price of the pink areas.
Even the orange areas are on average $60 per game. Throw in parking that’s $90. If you want one beer you’re up to at least $105. Throw in some food you’re up to at least $125.
If you stayed home and watched the game with a group of friends, can you imagine the food and drink you could have if everyone chipped in $50.
If I had any say, I’d remove one of the classic concessions and the north end BBQ place and make them Costco concessions where you could get a hot dog, drink and popcorn/crackerjack for $8.

And the student section is first come first seats. I was surprised how many were still there in 3rd quarter, but it was early start. But, it used to be they came in late. But, tradition last decade or more has been leave by/at halftime. Hopefully, a more exciting O will keep their attention??

I've been going to college football games since I was a little kid in the 1970s -- and not just a game or two a season. Trust me, if I'm staying home, it's because the prices are too high.
September day games should be heavily discounted. 7:30 kickoffs should be heavily discounted. Games against schools I didn't know existed (pretty damn rare) until they were put on the calendar should DEFINITELY be heavily discounted.
Treating SDSU football like it's Disneyland Club 33 or requires bottle service should be left for those high-rollers that sit between the 40s. They need to get real for the rest of us.

These are the type of things SDSU needs to understand, people are just are not coming to the games for many different reasons but the most common is the price. They can still have their high priced areas and events but they need other areas to make it more affordable and fun for the causal and NEW fans, this is what's missing year in and year out, Attracting NEW fans. This program needs to come up with new and exciting ways to win over the students, the causal fans and most importantly the new fans. This program needs to understand, "if we build it, they will come" is not really working. The numbers (total fans) are not that much different, they are just paying WAY more per person.

To be honest, this is an issue that you see with NFL teams who play in new stadiums. Many don't use the seats outside of the club and, to be honest, if I was paying that kind of money I'd be spending more time inside than outside.
