$115 a ticket for the away center upper deck for Oregon State. They keep saying they have listened to fans and adjusted prices but I don’t think they understand how cheap Aztec fans are.

Thats why i only watch TV. I’m not driving 2 plus hours, paying rediculous parking fees, way over priced tickets and food. And then drive back. Totally absurd.Besides, if they stink up the game, I can turn the channel. Worked great for me last year.

Or they just understand that most one-off fans will buy the cheapest ($62) ticket they can find and then sit wherever the !@#$ they want. Well, except for sitting in the Gucci levels.
Those seats are still off-limits to anyone without real funny money.
And they'll continue to wonder why the don't get more than 15-18k at a game (counting the 5k students) Duh.
It's discouraging at best.
But patience is necessary, tickets for Hawaii are only $44.85! and 'only' $40 for the Bobos…

Mathematically I understand the pricing, it’s a dollar optimization model not a attendance optimization model.
$62.50 is the cheapest ticket and that’s a bit perplexing at first blush. Let’s see what ticket sales are this week. I suspect it won’t be much different than last week or maybe a smidge higher and they will earn much more than week 1 and $ wise it will be a success.
I wonder if they will loosen the $ optimization once they start collecting $5M plus from mls.

What do you think the tickets should be priced at keeping in mind we are in a new state of the art $310 million stadium vs. one that was falling apart? Furthermore, what price would you jump in on Season tickets? Seems to me there’s a price point for all who wish to support the program.

I'm sure they have models for pricing and according to the computers this gives them the most dollars. I just think you need to put a human touch on it also. If you lower the price of admission, you get more parking revenue. You also get far more concession revenue, and people also have a better time and will want to come back if it's a packed stadium.
A 25 year old alumni making 50-60k per year isn't going to want to pay $65 just for entry for a football game. When I was 25 (8 years ago) I would pay $15-20 for Qualcomm tickets and sit wherever I wanted and it was awesome. I ended up drunkenly spending $100 anyway because of all the beers and concessions, and I'd always bring at least 6-8 of us in a group and we'd all do the same. If tickets were $65 just to get in, I guarantee we wouldn't have gone to the games in the first place
And that isn't even an example of a family going to the games...

The entire upper deck shouldn’t cost more than going out to a movie. The lower bowl can have “premium” pricing. I am excited at the direction of the program but the casual fan isn’t paying over $100 to watch a program that has struggled recently.

Back in the ancient times my dad took the family to every home game. We wouldn't be doing that now.

At least not as often as he did back in ancient times. $18+ for adults $15 plus for kids. That's for one movie. We got double features back then for under $1.

Aztec football is a different story.

At least he does not have to walk around campus giving away tickets… those 5,000 go fast.
