Maybe horses will take offense. At least there are horses to be offended. Even less offending would be some sort of botanical theme with an interesting matchup being the Daisies vs. Pansies.Now you're trying to get us into real trouble. The LBGTQ ... etc. groups would riot over the use of those derogatory names. |

Stanford did not just change their mascot to a tree and keep the name Indians.

I have at least 5 Disgruntled Monty hats and a DM t-shirt and hoodie. I will wear them till the end, but Wampus Cat is kind of interesting. I never even knew what it meant until a few minutes ago. It always sounded a little light in its loafers to me, but it’s actually kind of cool. If we switch back, I will still wear my old gear; but I won’t get suicidal.

Off the top of my head Disgruntled Monty gear that I have: a couple of hats, including one official coach's hat given to my by on of Coach Gilbert's assistant coaches, t-shirt of course, a couple of mugs, embroidered patches, several decals and a blanket with a large Monty on it. I might have some more in storage somewhere. Like you I'll be wearing my gear for as long as it, or I, last.
As I'm sure you found out, "Wampus Cats" was one of the early San Diego State mascots. We probably wouldn't be able to use that either since the Wampus Cat is also found in Cherokee folklore. So due to the Indian connection would probably not be allowed.
