No surprise there was only 2-3 post ups in that highlight. He's either going to be a team's elite stretch 4, or frustrate a lot of people not getting easy buckets downlow. Really depends where he ends up. His 3-pt shot looks so smooth, like his FTs. But he shot poorly in the last 6 games of the year when it counted. And if you add in how "stressed out" he was when he felt extra pressure when he started, I wonder what he'll be like next year with the considerably increased pressure to perform after taking a 6-figure NIL deal. He better get his head straight. By about 1/2 way through the season I could pretty accurately predict if one of his 3's were going in or not based on how he caught it and how in rhythm his motion was. Shooting is really mostly all mental and confidence. It'll be interesting how a change of scenery plus money impacts that. |

So much for being closer to home. it's not about the money! VA has great coaches and they focus on defense like the Aztecs, so good for him if he was trying to get a fresh start. UVA is a tremendous education and great conference for sports. Oh, and I am sure he got some good coin. I am just not sure he improved his situation all that much. If his baby mama (if true) is in AZ, maybe he was trying to get away and not be too close and deal with distractions. I guess we don't truly know the situation so I am not going to judge. I will be rooting for you Mr Saunders as I enjoyed your game and appreciate your contributions. Go get paid! |

So it was just NIL? As far away as possible from any possible baby mama. Virginia plays a style very similar to ours and their team isn’t any better than ours. Despite what he said it looks like a pure NIL play.

I think Magoon probably would’ve done that if he’s hyped to be what people are saying. Saunders doesn’t seem to have a strong competitive spirit from what I’ve seen. |

I remember when Jamaal gave up a ton of size when he was the 4 for a season and he was much more physical inside than a much bigger Saunders |

Saunders was going to be the starter. Gwath has great skill but hasn’t played at all and will be rusty. Compton big physical talent is still a true freshman. Just stop with the he was going to be scared of the competition. |
