If Compton is as good as predicted then this might not be that bad . In addition MG is being projected to be a 4 . So wish Elijah the best and now the staff has another scholarship to use as they see fit

Bummed but I’m more worried about Byrd since he’s the real talent and they are close. Can be replaced and maybe by someone who isn’t one dimensional.

Sucks to lose all of this experience in Parrish, Butler and Saunders.  |

Regardless of your opinion of NIL, it's a f***ed up move for him and Butler to do it so late before the deadline (portal closes on 5/1, and there's few quality players remaining).
So for those of you who ask "would you leave your job for a better paying job" -- absolutely. But I'd give my employer more notice than 36 hours before a major deadline that would f*** my team over if I can't be replaced.

It’s hard to really even care deeply about the sport anymore. Essentially we will just have a mostly new team year to year. Not fun at all.

What I'd like to know is there any provision in NIL such as tampering in Pro Sports? I don't think there is but there certainly should be. If you're in the portal any college should be allowed to contact you but if not they shouldn't for sure at least directly. They all have handlers, parents and advisors surrounding them so that would be the work around, but Butler signed so quick after he entered this is a concern. My hope is that Kentucky isn't using us as their Triple AAA ball club. I guess Butler could have recommended him and of course I have heard nothing that he is going there, but this was my first thought. The Atlanta Falcons right now are in big trouble with the NFL for just this same thing with regard to the quick signing of Kirk Cousins. Of course Cousins has agents in the same way that college players would so the timing is important.
