Nothing that happened in that courtroom today is good for this country. Nothing. Justice prevailed...the system worked...Trump had the means and every opportunity to defend himself...he was judged by a jury of his peers...and was found guilty of ALL 34 charges against him...which is hard to do...he was treated better than somebody charged with shoplifting...Trump got more than the benefit of the doubt...now convicted felon Trump has to stand up like a man...and take his sentence...appeals...appeals...appeals...are certainly his right..... |

Look, we all knew that Trump's been getting away with breaking the law for decades. This is the first time he was held accountable in criminal court. Also the first time that a District Attorney had the guts to file charges against him.
Trump is a criminal. He is unethical, immoral, and unrepentant. He is a bad person with bad character.
Regardless of which party you support you should hold the people representing your party to HIGHER standards than you expect of the other side. The minute you support someone like Trump is the minute you support that kind of behavior from the other party.
I left the Republican Party because of Trump and the party's continued support of him.

Preemptively: If this case was "politically" motivated, it'll be overturned on appeal.
But what about the much more serious cases? Because here we go: This doesn't prevent him from running or winning the presidency. If the documents case goes forward, we could very well have a president who engaged in acts of espionage against his own country.
Are we supposed to just normalize that? Is that a selective prosecution, too?

Of course this guy is like a snake, and likely will slither once again out of this one. the "shooting someone on 5th Avenue" may still be in play! |
