Is there some sort of benefit of the faux home games vs Cal in San Jose & San Juan Capistrano? Confused as to why they haven't done a true home & home. Neutral site losses have less impact on a team's NET rankings rather then a possible loss while being the home team. Home and home's have a lot of risk to them now.

Yes and they beat us in Viejas when we had the much better team. It was a bad loss plus I had to listen to incessant sh1t from a couple Cal friends for quite awhile.

correct CAL 's coach has added numerous players for their up coming season including the 5 from MSU Mady that vistited SDSU a couple of weeks ago
CAL is also a new ACC team as is Stanford if they are also added to the schedule
yes even a loss to Quality team on the road or Neutral site is worth a lot more then home wins against teams that are not rated - Dutcher knows this and has tried to get as many quality games as possible - that is the reason SDSU got the 5 seed last season

Kenpom Rankings
CAL -- #121, has a much better roster 8 pickups in the Portal, now ACC Cal Baptist -- #190, have no clue, Quad 4 Gonzaga -- #12, returns a good roster and adds portal players—top 10 team.

Yeah, we played really bad that day I remember. No chance Cal was better than us that year. We're 6-4 against them, so you still have bragging rights.

When discussing the event at last month’s East Regional, Dutcher confirmed that the program has expressed interest in the tournament. Away from the bright lights of the Power 5, programs such as San Diego State need to brainstorm creatively to lure the nation’s top recruits. Thus far, 6 out of the potential 11 out-of-conference games appear to be tentatively set. These include 3 games in the LV NIL Tournament over Thanksgiving weekend, the conclusion of the Gonzaga Home & Home series, a buy game versus Cal Baptist, and a neutral game in San Jose against a rejuvenated CAL Berkeley team.
Up to five games are yet to be scheduled. Should the LV NIL Tournament be confirmed, our Strength of Schedule and presence in high-profile out-of-conference matchups would be favorable with the Tournament Committee. All we have to do is to win a handful of those games.
3 Games, November 2024 Proposed Thanksgiving weekend 2024 Las Vegas NIL Players Tournament - Alabama, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Houston, Kansas, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego State, St. John’s, Syracuse, and Virginia are potential participants. The Zags recently added another quality transfer K. Battle from the Razorbacks add him to the other Zags coming back and other transfers could easily make them a top 10 team in the 2024-25 season
they will be very experienced quality team and the home game for SDSU should be a very tough game

We're nowhere in sight there, or in Joey Brackets 5/2/24 too-early MM Bracket. A couple weeks ago, Boise St was listed as the MWC Automatic Qualifier and New Mexico was in there too, both as double-digit seeds. Now that the Lobos have lost Toppin, they're out too with Boise St being the only MWC team and as a #11 seed. How the mighty have fallen. We better beat some good teams in OOC or we may have to win the MWCT to get in with a whole lot of NET landmines on our conference schedule.

Has the Lobo's Toppin officially transferred to another school ? you know they will gladly take him back
BSU has added a center / transfer from Arizona is he any good ?
SDSU has lost all its starters and a top reserve so is a reload to one of its least experienced teams -

Taking over Haas was an understatement! It felt like a home game on the road. It was a great experience….loved every second of it. And the on court domination was icing on the cake.

If the nil rumor with us being in a pod with Creighton/A&M/Oregon Here are the current ranks by bartorvik in ooc schedule so far, I do not at all say this is a be it all but a nice idea of fair baseline to have: 4. Gonzaga at home 6. Creighton neutral 25. Texas A&M neutral 46. Oregon neutral 78. Cal neutral 142. Cal Baptist at home
This is a very strong start to the ooc schedule
