I have seen nothing that gets me excited about the PAC whatever. No good news, no sizzle. Just teams still trying to escape. The best thing that can happen for SDSU is the PAC 4 decide to start together and asks SDSU to join. Then the Big 12 offers SDSU to keep the PAC 4 out of So Cal. That would be the best scenario at this point.

Nah…the best thing that could happen is the Fox Sports and Disney ESPN realize that this madness can’t go on and pull the media deals from the B1G / SEC / ACC / Big XII… This causes several of the schools bordering on Athletics bankruptcy (virtually all of the P5 teams) to shut down their football programs altogether… This ultimately leads to Notre Dame to play Inter squad games on NBC each Saturday… Yep…that is the best scenario in my opinion

Ummm, No. The Pac4 refusal to be part of a Best of the West Conference with Boise and Fresno is the deal breaker on playing ball with them. Do Aztec fans really want a widely spread out egghead Conference with a bunch of Academic super powers who don't move the needle ? A Conference with four to six MW Schools and two well chosen Texas Schools will be a much stronger and more valuable Conference than playing with the eggheads. As to the Big 18. Is the travel and being a permanent member of the bottom half of that Conference worth the P5 moniker ? Every Sport will be at a disadvantage with travel to the Central and Eastern time zones. To top it off, there is no way SDSU can compete in the NIL game. Sadly, an intact Pac is not going to happen. The MW may not be ideal, but it beats the mess of Big18 membership

Stanford needs to wake up and smell the coffee. The TV gods have spoken and: Big ten-Rejected Big12-Rejected ACC-Rejected Academic reputation-Nobody cares R1 Status- Nobody cares Olympic sports-Nobody cares Why would SDSU or Boise pay 34 mil exit fees to join pac4 that will pay at the most 10 million a year? They wouldn't. However, if the PAC chose to use some of their war chest to pay most of those fees then it would be workable. I'm still wondering why oregon state or washington state would be interested in spending that money on our exit fees to then follow it up with slashing their athletic budgets by 60-70%.

Anything is better than making $6million a year to play teams in the middle of nowhere that consistently do nothing to help strength of schedule or resumes. Big 12 wasn’t attractive when the closest schools were in Texas. Now there’s 5 teams within a two hour flight from SD. You take any offer from the big 12 offered and don’t look back.

I am beginning to think that the realignment was by design and orchestrated as planned by the pac 10 schools.
Big USC Ucla Oregon Wash Big 12 Asu Au Colo Utah Acc Oregon st Wash at Cal Stanford
Looking at it now, you see how this was ozone by design over a year ago. They just had to play it out in the media to “look good.”

I made this statement earlier about Oregon wanting the pac to collapse so they would look appealing to the B1G earlier and people blasted me for being so pessimistic…
