Keshad could have been a captain, along with Lamont on a team coming off a National Championship game appearance but instead he chose to take the cash and come off the bench at Arizona and sell out the “SDSU Brotherhood” in the process. Keshad will now be a footnote in SDSU history and Lamont not only is a SDSU legend but a San Diego legend. Lamont turned down a million dollars to return to SDSU. To quote Lamont’s Dad. “Not all money is good money”. Hope the cash is worth it. Enjoy the desert.

Have you ever taken a job for more money in your life?

May have to take in consideration - how the money situation is for Keshad's family also

We’ll see soon enough whether the change of scenery can elevate Keshad’s game. I hope for his sake UA gives him the opportunity to play the type of game that wasn’t available to him here. I have a hard time believing they will, and I’ll leave it at that.
Best of luck to him until we’re playing each other.

If you look at the replies to Jon Schaeffer’s tweet noting the Keshad to Arizona move, you’ll find the words of some bitter Aztec fans/alumni. I guess it was crazy that, in the Final Four game, KJ was one of the five players on the court with 17.5 seconds left and the Aztecs down one point.

Either he'll be happy he made the move or he'll be sorry he did it. Gotta trust that he had good advice and did what he thought was best for him - and by extension his family.

Wish the best for KJ ( except when plays SDSU of course). I can understand the negative comments, we were all invested in him ( and the rest of our team) and we care. We just have to rise above it, hope it works best for KJ and the Aztecs and move on.

It says way more about the people talking $#!+ than it does about Keshad. Keshad is a good dude trying to make the most of this opportunity to help his family financially. He’s the first one from his family to go to college, let alone graduate. His brother Kenny is paralyzed from a random shooting. He’s trying to be a provider and set him and his family up for a different kind of life. If you don’t know Keshad and you’re making judgments about him, you’re just showing your ass.
Would I prefer him not to go to Arizona? Of course. But that’s his decision. He GRADUATED from San Diego State and took us to a national championship game. Luckily it’s not up to dorky bitter fans in their mom’s basement on whether he’ll be a celebrated Aztec for Life because he certainly will be. And Dutch has said as much, in a very heartfelt way at the end of season banquet.
Dumbass Aztec fans said the same thing about Slaughter when he left early, and now no one thinks twice about that, as he’s had a really really good career in Europe and made a ton of money.
It’s a good thing when we go from job to job, or move cities, or make other major life choices that we aren’t as scrutinized as some of our own players who’ve already done all we can ask from them and more.

When you don't and you're looked at as the provider, then you make moves for said money. Dude was a team captain and graduated with a degree from SDSU. Don't hate because a young man is making business decisions that cause your fanhood emotional damage

I feel a since of loyalty to the people who hired me and basically took a chance on me. Being loyal actually probably wasn’t the best path to take and might have hindered my progress but I can live with my self knowing that I did the right thing. Money is definitely a factor when making a decision but it’s not the only factor. To me relationships and a sense of duty and loyalty are just as important as money.

Keshad committed to SDSU and then gave the Aztecs 4 years and graduated. I guess you look down on any transfer that comes to SDSU as a disloyal traitor who abandoned the previous school that gave him a chance. Keshad doesn’t owe anything to anyone except himself and his family. As a business owner (not an employee), it’s my job to help my employees to be the best they can for my company but also to help prepare them for their next steps in life and wish them well. Sometimes great employees leave for a different opportunity and I don’t consider them disloyal, I’m thankful that our work relationship was mutually beneficial and am thankful I could help that person in their career path.

I just don't see why anyone cares too much one way or the other.
848.6 minutes with KJ on the floor: +/- of 81.0, net rating +5.9 (71st percentile)
680.5 minutes with KJ on the bench: +/- of 181.0, net rating +16.3 (96th percentile)
The transfer was best for both parties.

Matt, Nate, Adam, AG, Lamont and Jaedon all could have left or transferred but they all decided to come back for their final seasons. That’s loyalty. If Keshad left for the pros I get it but by transferring he will make more in NIL money but he will still end up playing overseas. He bailed on his teammates for cash. Plain and simple. Everyone has their own circumstances and values. Keshad is doing what he thinks is right.

I've got noting but love for KJ.
He did everything we would want from a player / SDSU representative. I remember seeing him play during summer before his freshman season in the Swift(?) league. My son and I were like "that guy is raw!" Seeing him then, and this last season, that guy has put in work. The improvement is really impressive. Plus he gets his degree and is a great teammate...plus he is part of us going to the final four! He's done plenty for us and SDSU. We all owe him a big thank you!!! Aztec for life in my book!
I was hoping he would go somewhere middle America or east coast, experience a different part of the US, but oh well. Hope he continues to improve his shot and ability to attack the basket. Good luck to him, will be rooting for him.
