... per Jon Rothstein.
Better to know now. Per his previous comments, Dutch seems likely to try and replace him instead of wait to see if he'll come back.
Updated: Keshad has also announced the same on his Twitter page.

Wish him the best of luck. I think he's more likely to transfer ($) than to go to the NBA. This creates more playing opportunity for Saunders and Parrish

Don’t blame him. Dudes wants to get paid either playing professionally or nil. Wish him the best of luck.

Bummer. I think next year's team has a chance to be just as special as this year's, so I'm sad that Keshad won't be a part of it and that we'll have to figure out a way to replace him to get back to the same place. He hit a big 3-pointer in each of our last 2 games, I was envisioning that continuing and him playing more on the perimeter next year. What I think we'll miss most though, is probably his leadership. We'll have 4 returners who played significant minutes, it seems likely we'll pick up another transfer who will fill KJ's role on the court, but he would've been a huge part of the chemistry off the court moving forward. In fact, from many of the behind-the-scenes videos I saw during our tournament run, he may have been THE loudest voice and THE biggest contributor to the team culture. Hope we're ready to fill that void next year.

Not really unexpected after he was reported to be 50/50 on coming back next year. Good luck to Keshad and hope he gets some good NIL money. Now we have to wait to hear if LeDee is coming back.

NIL is going to be a problem for us. Disagree We'll lose some guys because of NIL and not get some others. But the ones we do get will be here because this is where they really want to be. Not because we pay the best.

Don’t blame him. Dudes wants to get paid either playing professionally or nil. Wish him the best of luck. I don't think transferring will be about NIL at all. More about opportunity to round out his game for the pro's. He's given his all to SDSU for 4 years, and has won consistently. Would have been 4 years, 4 NCAAT's if not for Covid, including a F4. He has his degree, so nothing more to do here academically. Now it's about preparing him to play professionally, or jumping straight to pro ball if told that's a relevant option. The committee is most likely going to tell him his future is as a 3, and that he needs to work on his perimeter game and handles. In talking with Dutch, he probably didn't get the feeling his minutes would increase into the 28-30+ range nor he'd get a much larger share of the offense. Now he needs to find a place that gives him that option. Given what he's given to this university it's easy to wish him well. We'll definitely miss him!

NIL is going to be a problem for us. For Players that want to come to SDSU and be part of a team first culture NIL is not their first thought when choosing a program. SDSU isn't going after NIL guys.

He is without question the best dunker in Aztec history, but are we sure he would he have started again next year? I wish him well, regardless!

Going to see if he can get more money professional vs. NIL? We gave him plenty of opportunities to flourish here. But I guess if a team like Miami is paying their athletes 6 figure checks.. KJ probably sees a place like Miami as a backup plan if he doesn't get drafted? It's just odd because it used to be, get drafted or go play overseas if you wanted money. Now I guess the possibility of transferring out for NIL money is a real threat.
