"After losing the Republican primary for Wyoming’s House seat by more than 30 points to a candidate enthusiastically backed by Donald Trump, Rep. Liz Cheney delivered a speech that included this: As we leave here, let us resolve that we will stand together — Republicans, Democrats and independents — against those who would destroy our Republic. They are angry, and they are determined. But they have not seen anything like the power of Americans united in defense of our Constitution and committed to the cause of freedom. It remains to be seen whether Cheney is justified in her optimism that a unified popular majority will successfully defend democracy against Trumpian authoritarianism. But what’s crucial here is Cheney’s unflinching declaration that much of the movement behind Trump is committed to the wholesale destruction of our political order." The Republican party has fully lost it, they are completely delusional to oust Cheney by a 2 to 1 margin. They might as well rename the party "Trump" at this point. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/08/17/liz-cheney-loses-primary-trump-reveals-danger/

And this is how it goes... the Repubs keep movin right, so the Dems keep movin right.
Good riddance to Cheney regardless. That entire family deserves a fiery afterlife.

And triangulating a political future doesn't make a politician principled in my eyes. Can't wait for some Kamala-like milquetoast Dem to make her the VP in '24 after Joe gets sent to a home.

She compared her political situation to Lincoln's, and she's historically correct. Got it. Here's Cheney's quote: And here's what the Trump party is stating about her: And a very disgusting, classless tweet from the "Libertarian" Party of New Hampshire. You can decide what is more intellectually honest.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? Who watches the watchers? The voters are going to deliver an unmistakable message this November. This was the first of many changes. The electorate is tired of $5/6 gas, sick of through the roof inflation, open unsecured borders, out of control spending, bizarre WOKE edicts and the gross abuse of power and corruption. The FBI cannot be used like some modern day praetorian guard, sent out by a political party to settle vendettas or harass political rivals. Does that make Biden the modern day Nero? www.foxnews.com/live-news/trump-mar-a-lago-raid-judge-schedules-hearing-on-potentially-unsealing-fbi-search-recordsLiz Cheney represented her own personal issues and not the people of Wyoming. That is why she was routed.

That is why she was routed. And the resident gasbag who has no situational awareness or knowledge of, well, anything? chimes in. An unmistakable message, hm? Like...what? We just had a "Republican"president. (Trump isn't even one, but I digress) We just had a Republican controlled Senate. We just had a Republican controlled House. The results were an unmitigated disaster, giving rise to a con artist and cult figure that brainwashed a segment of the population into believing he was a deity and managing to turn a once respectable political party into a propaganda machine full of disinformation, conspiracy theories and sycophantic behavior. Liz Cheney was routed because her own political party put that con artist, grifter and fraud ahead of their own party and their constitutional oath. Trump endorsed her opponent and it's no coincidence that the new secretary of state in Wyoming is an election conspiracy theorist and myth perpetuator who believes in the "Big Lie." Republicans are losing steam, though - Polling indicates that Democrats are now favored by margin to retain the Senate, even if they lose House seats. Turns out that some people aren't that stupid and actually have the ability for independent thought; go figure, right? Gross abuse of power and corruption? Read the room, flute player. Donald Trump's administration set an untouchable record for criminal indictments - Indictments that are still being handed down and sentences still being carried out as of this very day. You're in a cult, you were brainwashed by a failed reality TV star as bankrupt morally as he is financially. Be proud of that. It is truly a badge of honor to respect a man who said he would sleep with his own daughter. Maybe one day you'll figure out where inflation comes from, who controls monetary policy in the United States, why gas prices don't involve the president, what an unsecured border really looks like and how many brain cells you lose on a daily basis absorbing baseless lies from a sounding board of total horseshit. The FBI conducted a lawful search warrant on a former president who broke the law. We know this because he's broken the law and skirted the legal system for his entire adult life. Imagine devoting time to willingly pursuing an agenda defending a near 80-year-old man credibly accused of fraud, sexual assault and a multitude of other crimes. Play it again, you're out of tune.

That is why she was routed. And let's make one thing very clear: Liz Cheney was expelled by her own party immediately after taking a stand against Donald Trump's attempted coup. Her unwillingness to go along with a party full of treasonous traitors who betrayed their oath in deference to a loser and 70 IQ folks like Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene is why she lost her race.

Cheney is more conservative than Donald Trump. She's more of a true Republican than Donald Trump.
She just has a sense of ethics that won't allow her to let him get away with all the crap he pulled as President. Her father being part of three different Presidential Administrations, she knows how things are supposed to be done, and Trump did them the wrong way almost every time.
So she refused to sell out and support him. Good for her!
But with her dismissal that's the end of the Republican Party as a legitimate party in the United States. It's now a fascist, authoritarian party that looks to Russia as an example of how to dispense with their political opponents.

Cheney participated in a Soviet Show Trial in order to satisfy her obsessive hatred of Trump. Ronald Reagan would never, ever condone that sort of fiasco. To admit to be seeking criminal referrals but not allowing adversarial questioning or allowing witnesses to be referred by those in opposition, thus eliminating contrasting or exonerating testimony, is the epitome of unfairness, especially in America. She abandoned her responsibilities of representing her constituents of Wyoming in her quixotic quest. She happily aligned herself with people that absolutely hated her Father and everything he stood for. Sure, she has loyalty, to a fault I might add, to the Bush Family but integrity isn't on my list for her. She should be given all the praise by the GOP that the Democrats gave Zell Miller for honoring "Country over Party" when he stood up for he thought was important . And speaking of an authoritarian party, the Democrat pigs are adding 87,000 attack dogs in the U.S. Animal Farm.

It's a bipartisan committee hearing. Anyone is free to testify under oath. The vast majority of those who have testified are Republicans. And no, the Dems are not hiring an army of 87,000 agents. (Just in case anyone actually cares about honesty anymore and not outright lies)
