The guy who has never won an election? He did get disbarred. That's why he no longer practices law. So his ethics are on par for the Republicans. They just didn't care enough about Elder for him to win Can a Republican win in California? A progressive Republican might stand a chance in California. By that I mean, pro-choice, pro LGBTQ+ rights, pro climate change action. But still also having some conservative ideas like less/lower taxes, allowing school vouchers to go to private K-12 schools (even if they are religious). No COVVD-19 vaccine mandates/mask mandates in schools... Someone similar to Kevin Faulconer (and I'm not sure precisely what his positions are so feel free to correct me).

Yes, this is right along the lines of what I was thinking.

This is astonishingly bad legal defense. It opens the door for the real timelines to be exposed in terms of the government's request for the returning of the documents. It also confirms the original subpoena. The motion claims that Trump is "voluntarily" complying with the subpoena...which is hilarious. Ignoring a grand jury subpoena is a crime. And the icing on the cake includes a published threat:

So if two of Trump's lawyers were handling/viewing those documents and weren't cleared to they are in jeopardy. A law degree doesn't come with a Top Secret clearance.

So now that it's been confirmed that "Special Access Programs" material has been in the possession of the former president...here is what that means.
- SAP documents are ABOVE Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information
- SAP examples include: Nuclear war plans for the nation, presidential support activities, "Dark" military operations (Black ops) and other clandestine activities.
- Intelligence SAP's, one of the three categories of SAP's, cover ongoing sensitive investigations around the world and counterintelligence operations. This could literally imply that a list of counterintelligence operatives (spies, as we call them) is floating around, putting their potential "outing" as a real possibility.
This is beyond Watergate right now in terms of historical significance.

Dare I say the Rosenbergs were executed for less.

Dare I say the Rosenbergs were executed for less. Much less, if we are being honest. Some people are opining that this is worse than all the collective intelligence leaks combined.

Probably not great when your lawyers can't file a motion correctly.

Sounds like nobody has to worry about Trump running for office in 2024, if what they're saying he has is true.

Sounds like nobody has to worry about Trump running for office in 2024, if what they're saying he has is true. Yeah, there's no chance I'd believe that today. There is a ton of work still to do to on the DOJ's front to make that a reality. Trump's own lawyers bumbling their way through his defense is just one piece of a much larger puzzle. If they can't enforce 18 USC 2071, he likely will seek to run again.

Sounds like nobody has to worry about Trump running for office in 2024, if what they're saying he has is true. Oh, he's running. And if by some small chance the DOJ does its f'n job, the cult has other fascists like Tom Cotton... fascists who aren't as stupid as Trump. Murica's best bet based on the kangaroo court system we have for the privileged is for Trump's fast food diet to work its magic

To the suddenly (very) silent "Russian hoax" water carriers:

Don't anticipate we will see anything today (or even for a few days), but the affidavit will get released at some point. Meanwhile, the unbelievable corruption surrounding the former president continues to grow.
- Secret tunnels under MAL that Rudy Giuliani would use to go back and forth between his residence and the club.
- Trump admitting on Truth Social that his safe essentially wasn't secure.
- Trump pleads for attorneys to get "my" documents back. (Weird, since they don't belong to him)

This is almost comedy at this point. As someone who's worked in law firms for the past decade+ the above is cringe worthy. But as a lover of democracy, this is all I have to say:
