Donald is blasting away on Truth Social that three of his passports were seized during the "raid." They were taken. And then returned. Interesting as to why they were taken in the first place. Interesting why he has three passports in the first place. According to what I've read, the FBI has "filter" teams for this purpose. They return items that are weeded out.

Trump had a black diplomatic passport, a brown official government passport and a plain old blue personal passport. The black and brown passports should be secured if you aren't using them for official business. Official passports don't belong to you.

Perhaps because the FBI was worried that Trump might flee with top secret information and take it to, say, Russia? Just a guess as to why they took it during the raid, and then returned it.

2. Why is it the duopoly has to rig the system further to perpetuate the two-party system with their laws to make it more difficult for a 3rd party to rise and thru propaganda? The system is not rigged...there are more than two parties in America...Democratic, Republican, Libertarian and the Green Party...all four are based on either conservative or liberal ideologies (rational/anti-rational)...it's just the two main parties have had time and money to build their brand/systems over time...they've had the resources to get their message (propaganda) out to the masses...thus it's just harder for a 3rd party to rise due to the lack money, name recognition to promote/support their ideology and candidatesA lack of media coverage of third party candidates (or inclusion in national debates) doesn't help either. Also, people running in the primaries of Dem/Rep presidential race can use it to spread third party ideas, as it allows them to debate socialism/green energy/universal basic income within the primary debate, thus at least allowing the ideologies to receive publicity. Now my opinion is that since the Civil Rights Act...there has been two choices...democracy and white supremacy...Dems are for democracy for all people...Republicans want it just for whites...before CRA...it was just whites arguing and compromising...thus they might've disagreed...but it was all for white advantage...since...it's been multi-race vs white supremacy...democracy doesn't matter to white supremacists...they don't want any policies that benefit non-whites...thus they are using the established political rules (stratigies/tactics) to deny Blacks, Hispanics and others of anything that diminishes white advantage...they hate gays because they are not helping to increase the dwindling white population...which is the same reason they are anti-abortion...so the country is now at a crossroad...is it a white-dominated nation or multi-race one...as to whether democracy is trashed and Balkanization (civil war) prevails... Honestly I don't even agree with this. Democrats are not for democracy for all people. They want the minorities/economically disadvantaged to vote for them so that they can make token gestures to their base, maybe pass a small bill or two but nothing that substantially changes things, and stay in power. Look at the state of economic inequality in California, and look at the Democratic supermajority in the California legislature. The Democrats stand for civil rights legislation and reproductive rights that was passed 50 years ago/Roe v Wade was adjudicated. They aren't making big changes to the status quo. They want things to stay the same. They want the rich to continue to be filthy rich because they get their campaign donations from them. They want them to be rich because most politicians are rich, either self-made, inherited wealth and/or they accrued as a result of their political post. While the Democrats have been trying to take action in Congress, when they have a bunch of power in California at the state level they mostly sit contently with it. Or they use their power to impose burdensome COVID-19 restrictions that basically equates to the tyranny of the masses over the minority. What is Democratic about forced vaccinations (or you lose your job)? Oh but we give a $#!+ about women's reproductive tracts, but we don't give a $#!+ about bodily autonomy when it comes to forced medical treatment. Can't wait for the Monkeypox vaccine to come out next. I'm sure the Democrats will force us to take that one as well if we want to be government employees. It really is like a culling of independent thinkers from the government. Just another method of manipulating the composition of bureaucrats in the Democrats favor, much like how Trump culled the Executive office of dissenters and put in a shitload of 'his own' people.

And apparently, there are different types of passports, including regular, diplomatic, and official passports, so he may indeed have a right to more than one passport, being a former president.

"Democrats are not for democracy for all people. They want the minorities/economically disadvantaged to vote for them so that they can make token gestures to their base, maybe pass a small bill or two but nothing that substantially changes things, and stay in power."You make a lot of assumptions...the first that Democrats are all white overlords manipulating the ignorant-sheep-minorities to do their bidding while giving them pittance in return...I could go in another direction with this...but I won't...let me just give you some facts: "The conservative pundit Pat Buchanan, the Georgia state representative Vernon Jones and others have recently resurfaced the old and ugly allegation that Black people are trapped on the Democratic “plantation,” dociles practicing a politics of grievance and gratuity that makes them beholden to the party." "Surveys routinely show that Black Americans are scattered across the ideological spectrum despite overwhelmingly voting for Democrats. Gallup data for last year showed that just over two in five Black Americans identify as moderate and that roughly a quarter each identify as liberal or conservative. The University of Texas political scientist Tasha S. Philpot pointed out in a recent podcast interview that “there’s quite a bit of heterogeneity among Black voters that often gets masked when we just look at the outcomes of elections.” "The existence of the Black electoral monolith is evidence of a critical defect not in Black America, but in the American practice of democracy. That defect is the space our two-party system makes for racial intolerance and the appetite our electoral politics has for the exploitation of racial polarization — to which the electoral solidarity of Black voters is an immune response." " To be Black in America has often meant to act in political solidarity with other Black people. Sometimes those politics have been formal and electoral, sometimes they have been of protest and revolt. But they have always, by necessity, been existential and utilitarian." www.nytimes.com/2020/09/16/magazine/black-vote.htmlNow to your second part about minorities...especially Blacks...only getting "token" bills of no consequence in return for their vote and loyalty: "The percentage of Black Americans who lack medical insurance has dropped substantially since the adoption of the Affordable Care Act, but that progress largely depends on where people live, according to a new report from the Department of Health and Human Services." " People in pockets of the country remain unable to benefit from the law that reshaped the nation’s health-care system because many Southern states have refused to participate in key provisions that expanded coverage to millions of Americans who had little or no access to medical insurance. Nearly 1 million Black American adults would become eligible for medical insurance if 12 holdout states expanded Medicaid eligibility under the ACA, according to the HHS report." " About 37 percent of Black Americans who are uninsured live in three states: Florida, Georgia and Texas. Florida and Georgia, according to the report, have high numbers of uninsured Black children." www.washingtonpost.com/health/2022/02/23/health-insurance-black-americans/The biggest beneficiary of ACA (Obamacare) were Black people period...except those who are unfortunate to live in Republican-led states...ACA is a BFD...so much so that Republicans tried to stop it from being over 60 times...why?...because it benefitted Black people...what did I say earlier?...I said that democracy doesn't matter to white supremacists...they don't want any policies that benefit non-whites...thus they are using the established political rules (stratigies/tactics) to deny Blacks, Hispanics and others of anything that diminishes white advantage...it's apparent why Blacks do not vote for/with racist, bigots and white supremacists....

Why are you adding racial undertones to this? There are Democratic politicians that are Asian, Hispanic, African.. I said that the Democratic politicians (or all races, not just 'White overlords', an extremely outdated term as well fwiw) care more about staying in power then anything else. Same is true with the Republican politicians. The existence of the Black electoral monolith is evidence of a critical defect not in Black America, but in the American practice of democracy.
Yes, there is a critical defect in all democracies (not just America's) - the tyranny of the majority over the minority. That is why Black people have been discriminated against and the target of violence for such a long period of time past the civil rights movement (currently still happening in the form of police brutality). "People in pockets of the country remain unable to benefit from the law that reshaped the nation’s health-care system because many Southern states have refused to participate in key provisions that expanded coverage to millions of Americans who had little or no access to medical insurance."
Yes, again this is the tyranny of the majority over the minority. Most Republicans politicians, and many Republican voters are racists. Republicans are using their control of Republican states to explicitly harm African Americans, as well as the Democratic national policy agenda through a scorched-earth type policy where they use state power to weaken social programs that would help their own citizens. They aren't representing their constituents, they are representing the national Republican party. Just like in Wyoming, Cheney was beaten out by 30 points by a Republican who was hand-picked by the head of the Republican party - Trump. The Republicans have a very authoritarian top-down party structure. it's apparent why Blacks do not vote for/with racist, bigots and white supremacists....
Of course! Certainly, Democrats have done a lot for minorities on the national level. But that wasn't my point. My point was that Democrats on the state level have a supermajority + governor's office, and they have had majority power for a very long time in California, and yet it has taken forever to work towards meaningful progress to make California more affordable for middle class families. California needs expansive housing policy to address the housing shortage, it needs a higher quantity of housing and more affordable housing, and it needs more housing for the homeless. California needs to move some state level jobs out of large cities and into small cities throughout the state to disperse the population and cool off the housing market. California needs to incentivize companies like Facebook and Google to create corporate outposts in smaller cities throughout California. The Bay Area needs some of it's tech firms to spread out more with satellite campuses. Democrats at the state level in California have not done enough to address the cost of living in the state, they used the COVID crisis as an excuse to take authoritarian-type actions, and they Do Primarily Care About Themselves! If the state was closer in Democrats/Republicans, they would have done more to address the housing issues in the state, and they would not have vacillated between shutdown/businesses are open/businesses are closed again. Just because the Democratic party as a whole is much better then the Republican party in protecting minorities, does not mean that Democratic politicians really give a $#!+. Or to put it another way, they care more about being re-elected then they care about the cost of living in California.

To get this back on track - The hearing deciding whether or not the affidavit will be unsealed or not is tomorrow. I don't expect there's any circumstance where it will be unsealed at this point. Standard operating procedure in a criminal investigation is not to endanger potential witnesses/informants that would impair what the DOJ is trying to prove.
Charging a former president with any kind of federal crime is a slippery slope that potentially unlocks future complications and interpretations of the law, but where this goes from here will be interesting considering the small number of legal defenses Trump actually has at this point.

Another interesting twist here: There is a particular and noteworthy statute contained in 18 USC 2071: "Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book....shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; AND shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

1. Why is this not the standard system globally rather than being a rarity? Most democracies have a multi-party system that fall into conservative and liberal wings...for example Israel is a multi-party (more than two) system based on religious (conservative) and secular (liberal) wings...Likud and Labour are its two major parties...the lesser parties side with one or the other...the same with England...Labour and Conservative parties are the dominants...authoritarian and dictatorships in the rest doesn't mean the people believe in government or not...they are just not in position to exercise their ideology. 2. Why is it the duopoly has to rig the system further to perpetuate the two-party system with their laws to make it more difficult for a 3rd party to rise and thru propaganda? The system is not rigged...there are more than two parties in America...Democratic, Republican, Libertarian and the Green Party...all four are based on either conservative or liberal ideologies (rational/anti-rational)...it's just the two main parties have had time and money to build their brand/systems over time...they've had the resources to get their message (propaganda) out to the masses...thus it's just harder for a 3rd party to rise due to the lack money, name recognition to promote/support their ideology and candidates...nothing is stopping you from forming the Stoner Utopian party...nothing...you can get your funds up...go down to the Federal Election Commission and do so today...so why won't the voters vote for you even though you have great ideas?...MONEY...you may have the greatest ideas that will save the world...but no one will ever know because it cost great sums to blanket the airwaves...that's the advantage Dems and Repubs have...lastly, Libs and Cons are just playing by the rules of the game...policymaking is complicated...it's based on numerous variables...this is what I wrote my thesis on...policy agenda setting and denial...the strategies and tactics for getting what you want done while stopping the another from getting theirs...messaging, stakeholders, subsystems, iron-triangles, focusing events, punctuated equilibrium, garbage-can model...and on and on...all play a role in policymaking...it's tough to do...therefore...a lot of nothing gets done...when it does...it is either by majority domination...or compromise.... Now my opinion is that since the Civil Rights Act...there has been two choices...democracy and white supremacy...Dems are for democracy for all people...Republicans want it just for whites...before CRA...it was just whites arguing and compromising...thus they might've disagreed...but it was all for white advantage...since...it's been multi-race vs white supremacy...democracy doesn't matter to white supremacists...they don't want any policies that benefit non-whites...thus they are using the established political rules (stratigies/tactics) to deny Blacks, Hispanics and others of anything that diminishes white advantage...they hate gays because they are not helping to increase the dwindling white population...which is the same reason they are anti-abortion...so the country is now at a crossroad...is it a white-dominated nation or multi-race one...as to whether democracy is trashed and Balkanization (civil war) prevails.... If the system isn't rigged, then why does the duopoly create more laws to make it more difficult for third parties to rise? If democracy is truly what they wanted, wouldn't they make laws to make it easier for third parties to come into power rather than doing the exact opposite? If the system isn't rigged then why does the propaganda from the "liberal" party claim a third party vote is wasted and all though you don't like the Dems, they're close enough to your ideals so vote for them. Every election, liberals repeat that trash along with the fear-mongering. If you don't vote for Dems, the Republicans will do some evil thing, right? Who got the blame for Trump winning 2016? "Bernie Bros" and other voters who voted third party rather than for the Dems. Bernie bro was liberal propaganda itself trying to paint his voters as misogynists. As a matter of fact, the hell is the Liberal party weaponizing courts to get a third party off the ballot? Seems like the exact opposite of democratic to me. Also, if Dems want equality, then why are they perpetually increasing the police state funding and escalating violence against the poor & minorities? Why have they also cut polling stations in poor and minority areas during their primaries like here in AZ? The places most likely to vote for Sanders. Dems don't want equality. They just want a photo-op to kneel wearing a cloth while legislating in the exact opposite manner of their performative theater. You can't have fascism without enablers Democrats are the enablers Liberals always side with Fascism over Socialism because Fascism doesn't threaten capital

Because every time since they won the majority, they haven't even proposed it once. Pretty clever acting of them. That's what we get for having an actor become POTUS
