For a school that is nothing and has done nothing for decades I cannot understand the obsession with UNLV. Could someone explain it to me, please? TV Market, Destination city, Facilities and potential. Nevada is not a football talent rich State, the inland valley and Central Coast has more access and decent TV markets. UNLV is the public version of Tulane without the recruiting grounds.

The question is who is going to break the news once it becomes official and not speculative any longer, and we are officially a member of the PAC10? Please don't let Stan get the letter he'll send back a 50 point questionnaire asking for additional timelines, organizational charts, conference breakdowns, offseason exercise schedules and most importantly who can play the 5. Don’t forget an interview with coach Goff

the population of San Diego is 1.4 Million, the population of San Diego County is 3.3 million, yet somehow this only adds up to 1.3 million Televisions by the powers that be, its time to end the farce. its criminal that this continues.

I’m not sure why you need Fresno if you have Cal and Stanford. I trade Fresno for UNLV. For a school that is nothing and has done nothing for decades I cannot understand the obsession with UNLV. Could someone explain it to me, please? If UNLV gets the money they'll put their AD on the clock and hire a real football coach. When John Robinson first got there and brought the buzz, their fans showed up before he started to slide. 'Vegas fans will back their homegrown teams whenever they do well.

CBSSN stats are not shown in the Nielsen ratings. So CBS gets us at a bargain price since we're a part of the package deal with the less populated goats. That's also why the rumor that is tossed around about the Pac being rated higher in our own market is bullsh it. IMO if we upgrade to another conference with a decent TV package, we'll prove it otherwise.

It is in the middle of nowhere, but there is plenty of eyeballs. thevab.com/storage/app/media/Toolkit/DMA_Map_2019.pdfThe valley is Fresno-Visalia and Bakersfield - 573,180 households and 223,250 respectively. That is almost 800K households between those two DMA's. Monterey-Salins could be had as well, and that would be another 226,630 households. That would be 1M households. Vegas has 757,840 households and a ton of transplants. I don't think anyone is living in those three AG DMA's are transplants. JMO.

Watch out…UNLV is a powerhouse in the making…mainly due to the deep pockets of NIL money…they are already starting to recruit some top talent because they will be able to pay players top money… This is something that neither Fresno or Boise will be able to bring to the table… UNLV is going to rule with gold very very soon…

The PAC 12 or the Big 12 are going to want a presence in So Cal. SDSU is sitting pretty right now. SDSU in NOT going to the Big XII…maybe it would work for football and maybe MBB…but the remaining sports teams need to play in a conference as well…and we aren’t flying them to eastern or central time zones anytime soon… The only conference that works for the Aztecs is the PAC-12

I remember, once upon a time, when our Aztecs bolted to the Big East along with Boise St. Back when that conference was a power conference but hanging by a thread. Our logo was plastered all over Times Square in NYC that day. Never say never… I still think that cooler heads will prevail in the Pac10 offices and that the Aztecs will get the call, in time.

@tomaztec
BJ Rains said live on Idaho radio earlier “I know that Boise fans don’t want to hear this right now, but without a doubt SDSU is more attractive to the Pac-12 than Boise is. Let's hear from all the delusional Boise fans now.

Yeah, Pumphrey went to High School in Vegas, but he went to elementary and middle school in Mira Mesa where he played Pop Warner, so he just came home to go to college.

Interesting how you included Visalia, Bakersfield and Monterey-Salins with Fresno, yet you excluded Las Vegas' surrounding communities. As of 2021, the population of Las Vegas Metro is 2.8 million.
