This makes complete sense and will force notre dame and duke into the big ten. Duke doesn't have a chance in hell of getting into the Big 10. |

You know the aac could come out of this looking pretty good. If the acc falls apart you are going to have schools like: Boston college Pitt North Carolina st Virginia Looking for a home. I think they'll consider going to the Big XII before entertaining the idea of joining the AAC. The XII already have east coast teams like West Virginia and UCF so it makes more sense to merge with fellow P5 schools than downgrade to G5. However, overall the ACC has better schools located in larger markets than the XII even if the 4 aforementioned schools leave. Perhaps we'll see the XII torn apart by the PAC and ACC. |

Because notre dame already plays acc schools and the big ten would want to target acc schools. People need to stop assuming the big 10 cares about anymore pac 12 schools. They already got the Crown Jewels. |

I don't see any MW team getting added to the Pac 10 until more teams leave that conference.
Hopefully that happens soon. I would rather be in a conference with 6 Pac 10 teams and 5 MW teams, than a conference with 11 other MW schools.

The ACC breaking up would be bad news for SDSU. The Big 12 would gobble up the remainders in a heartbeat, so there would be no reason to look west for expansion. The possibility of the Big 12 coming into Southern California is our small amount of leverage over the Pac-12. Without it, the Pac-12 can take us our leave us on their whim.

The remaining Pac 12 schools see adding any MW team as an absolute worst case scenario and would rather stay at 10 teams if given the option. If we want to be added to the conference, we need another team to leave the conference. |
