Manny gives the Padres a nice lead with a grand slam, and consequently Crismatt comes in only to completely crap the mound, giving back all four runs. Padres go ahead again. Closer comes in and blows the save thanks to a Caratini passed ball. Padres 2021.Yu Darvish needs to get over having his own catcher next year. Caratini wasted a position spot this season with very limited offensive production. Maybe Campusano will get another call up... his bat is doing well at AAA He is injured. Hasn't played since 8/30.

Very frustrating.

The paper Padres got shredded this season.
Maybe this same cast of characters has a different/better result next season, but somehow I doubt it … even without the injuries, there are still going to be the same problems within the line up and the pitching staff.
Watching St. Louis reel off 15 straight wins at the end of the season - and then comparing that to the Padres' paltry performances pretty much tells its own story.

Bases loaded, no outs. Whiff, whiff, whiff.
I don't care about "bad calls". Make contact.
This is just a load of losers.

I heard today that Tingler had zero input on his entire coaching staff. Preller picked everyone. I guess first-time managers will put up with anything to get that first job. The more I see what a control freak Preller is, I think the less chance there is of Bochey coming back.

I wonder if Tingler is fired, will Ron Washington be Preller's choice?

I wonder if Tingler is fired, will Ron Washington be Preller's choice? Why should Preller even have a choice at that point? How many times can he fail at hiring a manager before it's apparent he's the problem? If Tingler goes so should Preller.

I'm sure ESPN was hoping for something much, much better when they booked the next two nights @ Dog/Padres so long ago. I wonder if they'll decide to show another game instead. I guess it could be a good draw for a national Dodger Haters crowd, though. Maybe hope for the Padres to knock them into the WC game.

Two plays, two rundowns, two errors (though only one was recorded). What a bunch of infield flailers. Good grief. Embarrassing defense right and left.
This season really can't be over too soon…

Giants 2 more against the dbacks and three against San Diego. Up 2 with 5 to go. Looking like l.a. St.l.uis wild card game.

Meanwhile, Ryan Weathers has decided to take one more crap this year on the Chavez Ravine mound …

l.a.d. up 4-0 in first. can the padres ask for a mercy rule for the rest of the season? or start all bench players the rest of the season to prevent "starter" injuries. I don't think we'll see much difference in outcomes of games, anyway.
