Trump had every reason to doubt the integrity of an election ran by a Government that would allow Hillary Clinton to pay for Russian outright lies about him, feed it to the FBI for action and then turn it around and make it out like Trump was the bad actor in that exchange. And it goes down for him from there. He tried to push his point and failed and will soon be out of office. But that is not where this ends.
With the riot at the Capitol, it will be the Reichstag Fire event that the Democrats will use to pursue single party rule throughout the country. Democrats, MSM & the Cancel Culture will soon start modern pogroms. The sad thing is that they will all feel justified in their morally superior ignorance.
What does denying downloading Parler Apps by the average Joe have to do with anything other than winning the next election? Could you imagine AT&T denying telephones to leftists because Julius & Ethel Rosenberg likely used a telephone in their treason? What does attacking Tucker Carlson have to do with anything other than winning the next election? It couldn't be that he is the most popular conservative political commentator, could it? It will be, effectively, "are you now or have you ever been an insurrectionist Trump supporter?".
If you are a die hard Democrat true beliver, spare me any of your crocodile tears about the violence at the Capitol and how the hallowed halls of Congress were desecrated when Nancy says "People will do what they do" of violent mobs commiting arson and mayhem, or Nadler saying that the Antifa violence (against a Federal Courthouse) is a "myth". When Sen Hirono and all her other Democrat Senators on the panel would not criticize Antifa and their violent tactics.
The real boogie man for Democrats now are the the 70 Million Trump voters (that include a good amount of independents and some registered Democrats) that will never vote Democrat in the future and that a good portion of their 75 Million voters were simply voting against the obnoxious persona of Trump (and could care less for Joe/Kamala or their crappy policies).
With Trump leaving, the Democrats will feel they must keep the "fear" of Trump going or they will get wiped out next cycle. The Capital Riot will be continually referenced until such time that single party rule can be realized.

We already had the Reichstag event with the manufactured crisis in Portland where the president sent militarized police in to quell unrest. That ship sailed. Denying the National Guard request and forcing the VP to intervene is terrible optics. I find it shocking that anyone with an IQ above room temperature still supports Trump.
All you have to do is look at the timeline that I posted and connect the dots and it's CLEAR that Trump attempted a coup. The fact that his incompetence and the incompetence of his lackeys led it to fail doesn't make it any less of a coup attempt.
He tried to usurp the Presidency from Joe Biden, and he tried to eliminate Congress and the Senate. That's frightening. It's surreal that such a thing could ever happen in THIS country, but it did.
Seriously, read this timeline of events and tell me this wasn't a pre-planned coup attempt...
Trump loses the election, won't accept it.
Trump tries to overturn the election in court. Fails. Miserably. (No real evidence, just a bunch of ridiculous hearsay and tin foil hat theories).
Trump fires or asks for resigniations from people at the Pentagon (as well as FBI, NSA, etc).
Trump moves loyalists from his administration in to those positions of authority in the military and Federal law enforcement.
Trump's Cybersecurity Chief says there was NO hacking, and NO electronic fraud in the election. Trump fires him 2 days later.
Trump's Attorney General says there was NO credible evidence of fraud in the election. Barr resigns a week later.
Trump tries to coerce state election officials to, "Find," just enough votes for him to miraculously turn out to be the winner. He fails at that. Miserably.
Trump and his people set up a big rally on the very day that ALL of Congress and ALL of the Senate are together with the VP, certifying Biden's win.
On social media, the rallying cry is to FIGHT and CIVIL WAR and TAKE BACK DC and KICK ASS, etc. Some people encourage the people to bring their guns to the rally. (Parler's a site for peaceful people to discuss issues rationally, apparently.)
Giuliani works up the people at the, "Rally," telling them it's, "Trial by combat!"
Trump works them up even more, telling them to, "Fight," and to, "Be strong!" Trump then tells them to march on the Capitol.
Woefully inadequate security is in place for a major event, and the, "Protestors," easily gain entry into the Capitol, some bearing weapons, others with zip-ties, etc.
Again, ALL of Congress and the Senate is there, as is the VP. The #1, #2, and #3 people in line of succession in one place, along with every Federal legislator.
The National Guard is kept away from the Capitol before the event, and Trump waits to send those NG troops in, even after desperate pleas for help at the Capitol. Reports have Trump showing excitement and being almost giddy over events unfolding on TV.
Vice President Pence has to call in the National Guard to restore order since Trump wouldn't do it.
Now, I don't know about you, but I'm connecting the dots there. As a registered Republican I am SICKENED by Trump's actions. I've never liked him, never respected him, and never trusted him. This is the worst event for the U.S. Federal Government in modern history. This is an armed insurrection. If not for the incompetence of Donald Trump it may have worked.
Do the math - with the Congress, Senate, and VP out of the way, who could lead the country? The man in charge of the military and Federal law enforcement would be the only one capable of doing so. Some of the people invading the Capitol were wearing full tactical gear, many of them with various law enforcement departments, and some former military.

Free speech on PRIVATE PLATFORMS does not allow for death threats or incitement of violence. The First Amendment protects you from GOVERNMENT interference. The only thing unfair here is how out of your mind you actually are to conflate two ideas that don't have any equivalence. A) BLM was not responsible for the entirety of the damages during the Floyd protests, nor was it responsible for all of the 19 confirmed deaths. Umbrella statements don't work without actual proof. B) What the NFL is giving is irrelevant - Hundreds of demonstrations took place without incident where people just went home. I know, I was there in a few of them. C) The desperation to try and equate an attack by radicals at the urging of the president that has immeasurable political consequences and the capability to interrupt the presidential line of succcession with social and racial inequality is disingenuous at best, ignorant at worst. |
