Not to step on Ryan's experience, but I was in a bank robbery at the B of A in PB in 1983. I (along with everybody else in the bank) was forced to lay on the ground.."first one that moves is dead!) 3 guys, 2 handguns..one Uzi. Not the same thing. aoc wasn't in the same room with gunmen threatening to kill her, and she wasn't being led down the street by SWAT. aoc was never in any danger. aoc's story is the equivalent of claiming to be a trauma victim because she was in a BofA in Clairemont in 1979 and that is almost Pacific Beach and almost 1980. #1) There were never any rioters in the Cannon or Longworth Buildings. #2) There are no glass doors (or non-glass doors) in the basement of the Cannon Building leading to the outside. #3) At 1:47 PM the Capitol Police had finished a sweep to confirm the entire Cannon Building was empty. #4) At 2:00 PM rioters broke in to the Capitol Building. If you think there was really a cop who forced his way in to aoc's office while screaming "WHERE IS SHE!!!! WHERE IS SHE!!!" then you are a fool. The reality is the police used the building's PA system at 1:39 PM into every office to give the message "If you are in the Cannon Building, take visitors, escape hoods, and Go Kits and report to the South tunnel connecting to the Longworth. Further information will be provided as it becomes available." If you think Trump-supporting rioters were breaking down the glass doors into the basement in the building she was in, as she very specifically claimed, then you are a fool. She was putting on a show, and we know this because we have evidence as to what time things happened, where things happened, and we have video of what it looked like inside the House Office Buildings at the time. aoc was inventing drama-filled theater for her fawning supporters. She lied. It wasn't real. By the time the rioters entered the Capitol Building located on the far side of the park, aoc was several floors up in the Longworth, comfortable in an office, and protected by a sizable contingent of law enforcement. There was no danger. There was no trauma. You are a sucker if you are taking her at her word and ignoring the pile of evidence proving that she is not presenting a reliable version of events. |

You completely miss the mark and the point of the topic, while marginalizing victims everywhere. The order to evacuate the Cannon Building was given well earlier, at least 20 minutes prior to your claim. Nancy Mace evacuated her office (two doors down) sometime before 1:44. Immediately undermines the rest of your post and the narrative. I don't care if she got every detail correct. For you to say the trauma wasn't real (for someone who received death threats in the days leading up to 1/6) is insane, foolish and ignorant. |

If people with bad intentions are coming my way..I worry about them when they are 30 miles away, then I worry some more when they are in my hood, then I get real nervous when they get to my street, even more if they knock on my door. Harrowing! Is that real? Did you actually have someone with bad intentions coming your way, get to 30 miles away, get to your hood, get to your street, and knock on your door? Or is this a story like aoc's and didn't really happen? I dont have to be told about when to belive if people have feared for their life. I have been there. Apparently you do have to be told because you believed aoc's BS story even though it is impossible. |

"She wasn't in danger" doesn't equal her fear not being justified. They were evacuated due to a bomb threat. Timestamps from people in the building validate that. Whether or not you want to run with Facebook conspiracy and Fox News partisanship is on your conscience. And again, whether she gets every detail down to the letter correct is irrelevant and not the point. If she's a fictional victim, so is Nancy Mace, who outright lied and is trying to fundraise off of it for clout. |

Another person corroborates the story. The ONLY thing that is the same is banging on a door. There was no "WHERE IS SHE!!!". There was no "didn't tell us where to go." There certainly were no Trump-supporting rioters trying to break through the glass doors in the basement. |

They were evacuated due to a bomb threat. Timestamps from people in the building validate that. Please share your sources on that because I heard it was done to free up the officers protecting the Cannon Building to reinforce the officers at the Capitol Building. I know there was one bomb at the DNC and one at the RNC but there were none anywhere near the Cannon or Longworth Buildings. If there was a threat in Cannon, I'd like to see your source. |
