2020-21 Aztec Womens Basketball Recruits
Asia Avinger 5'7" pass first PG from Cerritos area
Kamaria Gipson - 6'3" C from Beeville Texas
Flo Vinerte 6'2" Lanover MD. ( born in Latvia )
Kimberly Villalobos 6'0' G/F Chaminade
Mid Year transfer Mercedes Staples 5'10" G from U of Minnesota - played HS in Utah
Think we had 4 women graduate - do have 2 , 3 , 4 scorers back - including Malory Adams who only played 6 games last year
do not see any transfers leaving

She is solid in all areas. Those two bigs look intriguing. Time will tell. |

Getting improved post play is going to be crucial next year. |

Think PG Asia Avinger was on the CAL All State team - MVP of the Trinity League
ESPN has her as 56 best player in the nation and 16 th best PG - another Web Site has her 50 th best player and 10 th best guard in CA

Vinerte has played on the Latvia National team
Villalobos - has played on the El Salvado national team -
Gipson - average as a senior 21 points , 15 rebounds , 6 blocks
Frosh 15 points, 12 rebounds , 7 blocks
( is easier to be dominant in HS as there are not many players as tall - but in clips she seems quite athletic - will see on the transition from HS to college ball )
