In the women's MWC tournament, the Aztecs lose to last-place and #11 seed Utah State (2-16 in conference, 8-22 overall). I believe it was said during the broadcast that the 11 seed had never won a first round game in the tournament before. Now they have.

Was at the game and the Ladies missed so many inside shots. Really unfortunate. Two Aggies were hot at hell on the three pointers and their center was really tough inside and outside. The Aztecs battled like heck but just couldn’t put USU away. Don’t know what the future holds for Coach Terry but all those inside misses certainly weren’t her fault!

The head coach is responsible for every thing including missed shots, free throws, 3 pointers and missed lay ups. The coach should have had the players ready to play. If the men's teams lost to the last place team heads would roll. How many years does she get finishing in the 2nd division of this weak league? Time for a hungry young coach that wants to move up and make a name for his/her self. The volleyball and men's soccer coaches were replaced after sub-par years. And yes she is a really nice person, maybe too nice. Remember what they say about nice guys. They finish last! JMO

This years team along with the last couple are all her recruits with the same results. They play hard and show promise at the end of the season and then finish up with one or two wins in the MWC tourney. Time for a change, just like what zollner said, "time for a hungry young coach that whats to move up and make a name for his/her self". There is really no reason that this team shouldn't be at least competitive in the MW, recruiting shouldn't be that hard.

Hoping that Wicker interviews Vanessa Nygaard if there’s an opening.

I'm not going to sit here and call for the head coach of a non-revenue sport to be fired, but it will be interesting to see what happens with Coach Terry given the recent firings of other longtime coaches whose teams weren't competitive. She offers some conflicting circumstances, with her teams being mediocre at best and Mr. Terry now living in Fresno -- though his seat might be pretty warm, too. OTOH, she lost her best player who transferred before the season and had her team playing its best basketball in February. Look forward to seeing what JD does.

I'm not going to sit here and call for the head coach of a non-revenue sport to be fired, I expect more production with my tax dollars.

Can't believe you guys don't know the State does not pay for Athletics. We have to fund from ticket sales and the Aztec Club. We can pay any amount we can afford. That is why we played in Peterson gym. The State gave us a gym for PE. Get involved.

It’s about getting good results. She not getting it done here. I would have pulled the plug last year. Time to recruit a really good division 2 coach that is winning at a high level. That way it works with our budgets.
Example - Lubbock Christian University women's basketball head coach Steve Gomez.
Has won 2 NCAA titles in 4 years including last year. Looks like he is in his 30’s.

Do think our AD needs to be investigating what options are available for a coach - would think this could be decent place for a coach to come to
what recruits are set to come in next year , what players are coming back , plus what players do they lose

Asia Avinger - saw her play last year in the SoCal D-1 finals vs LJCD. She's a good one. www.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/school/_/id/21/class/2020There may be more. I don't think ESPN stays all that up to date in their recruiting database.

When do we announce the new coach? I’d imagine JD is going to let the women’s award banquet happen first and then maybe even wait till after the men’s season is over before making any changes. If he even makes a change.
